Do you feel you could beat a boxer?

I reckon Wlad could kill most people on this forum with one punch That or make them a Vegetable I'm too slick for Wlad. It'll be like trying to hit tiny pebbles with a straw.

I have a buddy who I outweigh by 40 lbs and am much stronger than, who boxed for 3 years as an amateur from ages 14-17. One day he let 5 of us try to hit him, without gloves. Needless to say, I would not want to get in the ring with this guy, though I might be able to take him in a streetfight if I could take him to the ground. But since I couldn't hit him, I might not be able to grab a hold of him either.

What do you mean by Pro Boxer? I know guys are are pro and fight for 100$ at these low budget local community things who cant box for shit......but they are pro. Could I beat some of them? Sure...... Now could I beat some top 50 guys in any weight division? Sure as fuck no......I mean Im 200lb 6'1" lean, I still think I wouldnt want to get in with anyone over 140lb whose a top 50.....forget it....top 100. And even then what could I do? Pray trying to land a bomb the whole fight?

How tall are you and how much do you weigh? I almost guaratee unless you are around 190 and all muscle with alot of boxing experience then in a boxing match you'd proberbly get KO'd. In a street fight you'd proberbly be able to KO him if you are around 170 and fairly athletic. That sounds optimistic to me. Consider Hatton (or any elite jr. welter) fighting weight is around 150 and he is used to get hit in the head. That's a major bonus in a street fight... Sometimes you break the big guy nose or lip with a headbutt and it's all easy from there if the guy is not use to fight... A pro fighter would probably land a few ones and maybe sneak an elbow in too, before you know it. Now say that you weather that initial storm and you start landing, are you going to hit the pro fighter flush? Isnt he going to move, and move his head? Will they be full power shots? arent you going to be too off balance to be able to load completely on them? I think a 10-15% bodyweight difference is not close to enough. Unless we talk about someone who has some decent MMA training (but since you mentioned KO I assumed we are talking about striking)

Do you guys ever get the feeling you could take it to a boxer from watchin his fights? If so, please specify. (BE HONEST!) For ex, watching Hatton - Lazcano i was thinking "Wow, I think I could knock Ricky out if I catch him clean" I never think that I personally could defeat a pro boxer...except charlie zelenoff or any other youtube/boxing forum fighter... i'd whoop charlie from one side of the ring to the other... the punch stats would look one of two ways: The_Italian Charlie Zelenoff Punches thrown: 745 345 Punches landed: 473 43 The_Italian by WIDE UD (119-109) OR The_Italian Charlie Zelenoff Punches Thrown: 3 0 Punches Landed: 3 0 First round KO on a double jab followed by uppercut for The_Italian. haha...seriously... but as far as a REAL pro fighter goes i wouldnt even dream of it...best i think i could do is maybe give ONE (if that) tip that the fighter and his team dont pick up on...and thats if im lucky... im not crazy enough to believe i'd last a round with any real pro fighter...they have had EXTENSIVE training (in amatuers and pros) while i've never had even an amatuer fight...just like 5 club fights and thats it...and it was just for the money (i got payed like $100 for each)... a CURRENT fighter from the 60's could probably KO me...haha...or whoop me bad in a 12 rounds mauling... even now i might be giving myself too much credit... but i'd for sure whoop on a charlie zelenoff...who couldnt? a 12 year old?

Hell Yeah!! Granted i really do box.......sometimes look at some pros like "I could take his ass right now" ** Yeah, me being a kinda tweener, it comes up often. Me not a big cruiser, but Cunningham looks easy to KO with nothing to keep me off. I could then diet enough to make 175. Johnson might be too strong too savvy, Joe too fast, but Antonio, I could easily be in and out on him with some new tattoos before he could think to brick his shorts. Poppy, heck, that's easy. Just keep running to the opposite side of the ring he runs to until he boils over in what little pride his toothless gums gots left and comes after me for a real fight. I'd just skip away laughin' with little popcorn flurries and let the judges do their thing when he starts crawling around the canvas yelpin' again. Then get heavy pizza and beer deliveries during training camp and weigh in with a full bladder and belly against Peter to make weight. Then drop down to my normal street weight and jump in under his jab and whomp up his fat gut real nice with a quick exit and cruise to an easy decision. Maybe a few kicks to the shinbone when the ref ain't looking to gimp him down for comedy value. Then I'd track down Haye and go jaw to jaw with him telling him how I'm going to turn him into MaccJellyDonuts and release the video on utube, and bingo, I'm done with him. Yeah, maybe start with a phonecall this weekend to get all my ducks lined up. Don't know why I didn't think about this before.
