Kenny Bayless to ref the cotto-margarito fight

Does anyone know the name of this one ref that I kinda like? He was the ref for one of the Pac undercard fights. I think it was the Marquez fight. Anyways, while these boxers were going at it one of the boxers had some tape hanging from the glove and the ref just yanked it from the glove while they were still fighting.

Kenny Bayless is one of the best referee's in modern day boxing. He will do a great job.

I agree, although I thought they might use Weeks because he speaks Spanish. Cotto undertands English but I also believe that Margarito understands a good amount as well. In an interview I saw, Margarito was asked questions in English and had a translator. However Margarito started answering many of the questions before the translator even started translating.

As long as Cortez and Nady stay the hell away from Las Vegas that night. Good ref and the judges are pretty reputable too.

this is a good ref but for a war like this they shoulda bring steve smoger Bayless did the Vazquez-Gonzalez war and handled that one very well IMO.

Remember Bayless refeed the Vazquez vs Johnny Gonzalez fight in which Vazquez was taking a beating early on and was down a couple of times but Bayless allowed him to continue. He also allowed Gonzalez to continue dispite a few KD's of his own aswell. Gonzalez's corner were the ones that stopped the fight. Thats the type of ref that this fight needs, someone who is slow to pull the trigger since we have seen that Cotto recovers very well and fast from being hurt and Margarito is able to take a lot of punches and Still come on stronger than his opponents in the later rounds i.e. PW's.

I think he's a good choice, he's among the best referees out there.

Bayless is a good ref imo. I have never seen him officiate badly that i can think of.
