Trinidad only fought 4 lbs higher than his natural weight class at the time. So yes trinidad was the bigger man in the fight.

Terry Norris built a hall of fame career off beating shot fighters and smaller, overmatched opponents. Leonard, Taylor, Curry, Mugabi...... Outside of those guys the only solid wins he had were Norris in their second fight, Castro and Daniels I guess.

Max Schmeling. The guy is in the HOF based almost purely off of his KO of a young, undefeated Joe Louis, even though Louis demolished him in the rematch. Schmeling did also have a win over an old Jack Sharkey, but he was beaten in the rematch and then KOd by Max Baer. You are seriously underestimating Schmeling's resume.He also had vwins over Paulino Uzcudan, Steve Hamas Young Stribling and Johnny Risco, who were all top contenders in Shmeling era. He also hols a knock out win over one of the greatest p4p fighters ever in Mickey Walker. I agree his legacy is based mostly off the Louis win, but he is well deserving of the hall of fame if you look at his record a little more closely.

Nah, Vernon is an excellent boxer in his prime.. He was in the Olympics man.. Zab Judah over Spinks.. I mean, he was good but he lost every other big fight he had..

I think Mayorga would be my pick, beat a very good fighter b/c vernon got stupid, the rematch thats touchy, but he made his bones off the forrest victories only to lose his WW title to Spinks,(who is fuckin terrible to watch) dude couldn't punch his way out a wet paper bag. case could be made for Rahman, but i disagree with Hopkins being mentioned in this thread at all, he beat keith holmes to set up the Unification w/Tito and everyone knows King was banking on Tito winning so they could pack on 15 lbs. and try to take on Jones when he was King P4P, numero Uno.
