Remember this guy?, i think boxing needs someone like him. he was a good fighter but retired after getting his ass handed to by Barrera. What you guys think about the Prince
in thoery yes but fights are not played out in theory are they yes JMM could outbox Hamed on the other hand he could KTFO cold so for people to suggest JMM beats him easily cause MAB did is stupid
he fought the wrong fight agaisnt MAB thats why he looked so superior but these fools think that is the yard stick for every other FW out there at the time ,which is just stupid cause they all have different styles and some adapt better to certain styles than others that is just commonsense surely
keep hatin i guess though
Whats stupid about what youre saying is that JMM was 10x more cautious back then, hed just wait for hamed to commit one of the 60 mistakes he made during fights before being badly outboxed to a wide UD loss. His ONLY shot would be to score an unsuspecting blow knocking him the fuck out.
That was his last fight, he was KO'd inside 30 seconds, after the brutal KO by Naz, coupled with this one, the Nevada State Athletic Commission denied him his licence renewal.
Thats a shame, he looked a decent young boxer too
he got knocked cold again and didnt get up for a while. i think he got banned for a bit?? could be worng tho. then he retired.
I thought sanchez showed balls in that fight. but you could see the will drain out of him pretty fast..
what happened to Sanchez? did he retire at the age of 27? last i heard of him was back in 2001 when he lost an IBA Featherweight Title match against John Michael Johnson
but boy did he knock the shit out of augie. which post fight interview was that where he was saying to merchant, "back up larry, let me breathe!" lol. i know that it wasnt the sanchez fight cause i saw that interview. but nas used to give merchant shit after his wins. i loved nas. u never saw anyone son larry like nas did, not even floyd!

I was a fan of Hamed. He was a character with a big punch but I never thought of him as a great fighter. He had to come from behind with big KO's late a couple times against opponents that he should have been able to beat relatively easily.
Could Hamed have KO'd JMM? Sure he could have, but that is true for any guy Hamed would have faced and against JMM that would be his only chance.
The point I am making is that we will NEVER know, of course it is possible Marquez would have schooled him, its also possible that Naz would have learned from his mistakes against MAB and rectified them, everyone knows his gameplan was one dimensional and wrong and he didnt have Ingle with him who would have put him straight. IMO Naz COULD have taken Marquez.
u cant look at it like that objectively these people have their opinion and it is set in stone no rationlisation though
Barrera beat Hamed so fighter A,B,C ,D clearly beats him aswell its a fact
Marquez did have the style to beat Hamed, there's a reason why Steward advised him not to fight Marquez when Marquez was his mandatory for over a year but Hamed's power would always have been a big factor.
Hamed's chin wasn't glass but he has been hurt more than once in his career.
finally some commonsense
How can you say Hamed was never hurt? He was dropped plenty of times and rocked even more times. He showed excellent recuperative powers but to say he wasn't hurt is absolutely absurd.
he has not been hurt to the extent where u could form a stupid assumption that he has a glass chin that is just idiotic
he has never looked like he was in danger of be taken out thats for sure

If you think that Hamed was some sort of fraud and that any boxer of his era could be guaranteed to handle him with ease, you are just wrong. I personally think Marquez would have beaten the Hamed that fought Barrera, but it is by no means a sure thing.
is it in his eyes the idiot think its gospel :wank: maybe he had Mosley odds on to beat Forrest this is Boxing anything can happen especially when someone can punch as hard as Naz and someone has been down as frequently as JMM has
If he had stayed with ingle i dont think a featherweight alive could have stood upto his power. EVERYTNHING went south when he changed trainers and they fucked with his style..
clearly a hater no need to argue :nana:
Naz has a suspect chin Hamed was never hurt u fool what are u smoking
JMM has been hurt plenty of times even Mab tapped his glass chin lol Hamed would have smashed the little Mexican road sweeper into next week
okay
