That sounds plausible to me. Where does Arum go if Cotto loses though? Wow. That's a good question LOL. But Jab, I would be willing to bet that he makes a rematch between Cotto and Margarito. Especially if it's as good as we expect it to be. He's going to get as money as he can out of both fighters before he losses stock in either of them. That's just my opinion. But I don't expect Cotto to lose this fight. As good a match-up as this is, my head is strongly telling me Cotto wins this fight. That's why I see Williams-Maragrito 2 around the corner.

This is a tough call. I'd probably go with Williams. I think he would train harder and push himself more so he didn't fade down the stretch. His height aqnd reach would be aq problem for anyone at welter. If Margarito loses to Cotto, I think Arum goes for this fight. If he wins,no. If Antonio Margarito beats Miguel Cotto there is probably a good chance that he and Paul "the punisher" Williams will do it again. Same result this time or does Margarito win? I personally think styles make fights and Williams is one guy who might have Margarito's number. AM has never seemed very eager to fight Williams and he basically was forced to fight him the first time due to the fact that WBO threatened to strip his belt if he didn't. Just recently he said he didn't know if he would fight Williams again which is strange because you would think he wants to avenge that loss. This is a tough call. I'd probably go with Williams. i dont think thats fair at all, mayweather was matched up much tougher than oscar was early in his career. I can actually remember being in high school and remembering commentary about how mayweather is being matchup to tough too soon, you may think oscar "paid his dues" but mayweather was being matched up with legit competition by his 18th fight. mayweather paid just as many "dues' as oscar, but mayweather is an asshole who has a certain expectation of entitlement, oscar has it also, but hes far more mature in how he goes about his buisness and handles himself. Margarito and Mayweather would have fouht, if Mayweather stayed with Arum. Regardless of the intentions of Arum, Mayweather had the fight if he was willing. If Arum was just bluffing to make Mayweather look bad, Floyd should have called the bluff. depends on how you look at it, the landscape of the fight game might have changed, instead of floyd having the linear championship, he would have had the WBO belt, then he would have fought DLH at 154, eventually, it probably would have been cotto sitting with the linear title right now, and in december, we might have seen mayweather/cotto.

Thats a fight i wouldn't mind seeing, Margarito's chances of winning a second fight would be much higher.

Williams vs. Cotto is a massacre for Williams.....easy fight. 18 inch reach advantage over Cotto. 7 inch height advantage. Southpaw. Never tires. Never stops throwing. Vicous power. Fast. Great chin and absorbs body punches well. Cotto has no chance in hell versus Williams. If that fight ever happens, I'd be willing to bet all the points I have at that time against the same amount of yours on Cotto. Without hesitation. Even with a loss to Margarito, for that matter.
