Teddy Atlas is the fuckin MAN.
I started reading that Oscar book and the guy is so damn full of himself...I couldn't continue. Too many cliches and self aggrandizing statements.
He really is. I picked up this book for 3.99 thinking I might have wasted my money, boy was I wrong.
I kinda figured Oscar's book would be full of him blowing himself. Like I said it's not high on my list, but I will pick it up on the cheap.
At the end there were some parts I was rolling my eyes.
There's a whole couple chapters about Schaifer and him. That might be one of the best parts of the book.
Thanks. At least I know what I'm getting myself into before I pick it up.
A couple of chapters, that's good to hear. It's one of my main reasons for picking up the book
I Saw It At Local Bookstore And Picked It Up. It Was A Good Read, It Gives Insight Into Oscar's Personal Life, And Has Some Great Inside Stories Regarding Some Of His Fights, Such As Julio Cesar Chavez And Mayweather ..id Say Buy It, Its A Good Read For 20 Bucks
Thanks to all for the reviews.

How much info is in the book about Oscar's business, Gold Boy Promotions?

I thought about picking this up, but I'll just wait till the price drops on Amazon's used marketplace. It's not high on my list of books to read. How much info is in the book about Oscar's business, Gold Boy Promotions?
I'm currently reading Atlas: From the Streets to the Ring: A Son's Struggle to Become a Man. I picked it up mainly thinking I'd get some good insight about some of the fighters he's trained(you get a good dose of that as well), but I've been totally engrossed in his story. I knew Teddy has a few screws loose, but I didn't realize he was a real bad-ass. Great book!
I read it all in the store through various trips because I was to lazy to buy it, but I'd reccomend it. It's a good read.
Also he does mention how he was fasely accused of rape. That's pretty much it though.
What does he mainly discuss? Does he go through many of his fights? I don't want it if it is mostly personal stuff.

To those who have read it, is it worth it? I like Oscar but I couldn't really be fucked buying it if it is shite.
Try gettin it from the library first homey. lol
