Anyone think the footage HBO replaying is funny?
where they show Wlad knocking out poor Brock, and then putting in the quote from Lampley "This is what the heavyweights are soppoused to do" and then cutting to Thompson and he's throwing those slow pitty pat punches at some tomato can :lol1:
they guy got no chance, ill be surprised if this fight is close. i dont think after the sultan fight, Wlad is gonna allow himself another decision.
dont give me that shit he has fought all mandatories and the highest rated fighters in the division, starting with Peter then beating Byrd, beating Brock who was undefeated and the best american HW at the time,Austin was his mandatory and he himself said he didnt choose to fight him, then he avenged his loss to Brewstwer and fought Ibragimov to unify so I dont get what the hell your talking about, hes fought the best
While i dont think hes in control of all of the defenses forced upon him, the austin fight should have never happened and that fight was a no win situation for him. The Sultan fight put a real black mark on his career because it made it look like he didint even want to fight the guy. The byrd defense was virtually worthless as byrd was way past it, i dont know if he was a mandatory or not however. Brock had very little chance going into that fight and i dont critisize him for that, however its just hard to take ANY heavyweight seriously without any marquee unification matches, and when they do happen, we get fights that turn out like Wladimir/Sultan which were boring as hell. I dont think Wlad is going to get much respect unless he continues to unify, defenses against guys like thompson arent going to do much but contribute to the perception that hes only fighting bums.
** If Ali had KOed Austin with one hand you'd have soiled both ends of your shorts.
Why don't you tell us again how Abraham is gonna get KTFO by the first fighter who uses lateral movement on him. That was some classic comedy, but don't quit your day job.
Small market for small potatoes.
You are right, Wladimir and Abraham are unbeatable, you are smarter than me, and i enter every thread about how great ali is and how austin is so outstanding, lets have a round of applause for my obvious racism in every post.
God help me for suggesting that if someone gives abraham some lateral movement (which obviously isnt easy to do) that he may actually get hit with a clean body shot and get hurt, i didint mean to apply some logic into the idea, i apologize, from now on, ill simply let you tell it.
, he knocked out austin with one hand,

because his competition for the most part is sub-par, his defenses have been a fucking joke, he knocked out austin with one hand, because austin is garbage. ibragahmov is an OK defense, but he fought like a scared woman. Its just fucking boring.

I hope Wlad impresses this time around because we need a figure head who can grab hold of the division by the horn, His last performance was a NO-NO.
Klitschko wins this by KO/TKO within 5, and I myself will be suprised if it goes more then that. His hand speed and punching power is too much for Tony

Whether he knocks Thompson out early like he did with Austin, or whether he goes the distance like he did with Sultan, people will still be negative and critical of Wlad.
No matter what he does, some people will have nothing but bad to say about him. :nonono:

They certainly make the fight look bigger than it is...
If they can make Tony Thompson seem like a true contender and an American heavyweight hope to the people then it's fine, the heavyweight division needs all the hype it can get.
I only hope it won't turn out to be another Klitschko vs Austin or Klitschko vs Ibragimov.

Yeah, that video was hilarious.. They have to make Wlad look decent in it, though for their own ratings..
