Who Wins: Abraham v. Calzaghe at 168

AA did good against Miranda at 166, but full blown 168 against Joe C looks like a decision loss.

Calzaghe. Do I even have to explain why? OK, here goes. Abraham is basically Mikkel Kessler with a tad more power and a tad more un-orthodox style. That being said: Kessler would also mop the floor with him and Pavlik would get a TKO on him. Kessler and Abraham fight nothing alike whatsoever. Abraham stays in a defense shell and waits for the opponent to open and opens the guard to unleash some concussive power. Kessler is an upright, textbook boxer. Jab, Jab, Straight. He's got a hell of an uppercut on the inside as well.

Calzaghe, unfortunatly Abraham's high guard and low activity mean 100+ punches a round and alot of movement. It's a really bad stylistic match-up for Abraham.

Abraham is about as unlike Mikkel Kessler as it is possible to be while still being a European middleweight-range boxer. Their styles are completely, completely different. Kessler would beat Abraham quite easily though, there I agree.

Calzaghe by decision. Abraham is a bit too inactive to beat Calzaghe.

personally i think abraham will get beaten by pavlik, and pavlik would lose to joe. I can see arthur absorbing a lot of punishment from joe without really doing a great deal, maybe hitting him with a few of those wild counters, then losing a decision. Saying that i havent seen much of abraham aside from his fights with miranda and his destruction of wayne elcock

calzaghe by domintation.. he would get lacy'd, or kessler'd

Before the Lockett fight, Kelly was favoured to lose against Calzaghe, after it to win. Abraham beats a much more convincing opponent yet is voted much less likely to beat Joe than Kelly? Doesn't match up man. Kelly's taylor made for Joe, whilst AA's much superior defence and tactics would give him more trouble.

Just for fun, Who Wins: Abraham v. Calzaghe at 168 I just don't see anyone beating Calzaghe at 168 or 175, but that doesn't mean he can duck whoever he wants.

Plus he's not even the number 1 MW unless he takes on Pavlik and wins

Poll? I'd say Calzaghe UD just, in poss a closer fight then what Pavlik would give him, as he's actually less predictable on the inside, and randomly leaps out, switches up when he decides. Seems to be more tactically aware then Kelly, and wouldn't be broken down easily. But even with his great defence I'd see Joe out smarting, working and boxing him winning 7/8 rounds, with Joe being KD on the way quite poss.

Where's the poll? I'd have to go for Calzaghe, he's the natural SMW, been a champ at the weight for over 10 years and at the moment Abraham is really a MW.
