Who went for a world title fight before 17 professional fights?
Please tell me, as there are alot of people saying Khan is just fighting bums, and a true champ should have fought for a world title by now.
I genuinely want to know? because they way some people are going on, every successful boxer (in their eyes) goes for a world titles fight at/ under 17 pro fights???
Sorry, i messed up my last post. He said he wants Campbell and Pac. I'm not telling you anything mate, i can go bump the atricle if you want......
And my point is of course he would say that but he knows he isnt ready, In 2001 Hatton said he wanted to fight Tsyzu he was even ringsize at the tsyzu/Judah fight but in reality it took him 4 more years to get in the ring with tsyzu...Only a crazy person would put Khan in with Pacman.
Most boxers talk like Khan but thats why they have the promoters/managers/matchmakers who put them in check.
Him saying he wants the 36 year old campbell is different from you telling us he is calling out pacman, Most boxers look up not down in terms of who they want to fight but its up to there people to get them the right fight at the right time..

What you on about excuse!??
Errr didn't Khan say the other day he wants Campbell and Khan. To me...that would be a kind of calling out....

Thats a poor excuse mate, Talking about pacman and calling him out are two different things, Gamboa also said recently that he can take Pacman out that doesnt = him calling out pacman.

Very true! Khan beats these lower level fighters then calls out Pacquiao who is P4P one of the best, maybe the best right now.

Rademacher (olympic gold medalist) got a world title shot in his first fight but he could not capture it.
Damn that is funny!!! fight for the heavyweight title on ur professional debut WTF!!!!!!!!
When Amir khan fights its a show the Amir Khan show.
He will fight stiffs for has long as warren can milk him for..
Remember his paying Warrens leccy bill at home and the minute and i do mean the minute he faces someone decent he will get his fringe swiped straight off
Warren knows this.....
Let the milking continue..
It's not so much the fact that he hasn't stepped up even, it's the fact that he is the number 1 contender with th WBO (LMAO!) and yet has fought nobody to earn such status.
That fact that he says things like "I'm going to win a world title before the end of the year and dominate my division for many more" doesn't help his cause either.
There is a fine line between confidence and arrogance, Khan has well and truly stepped over it, despite having fought nobody.

Maybe Lazcano can move back down to lightweight, that would be a perfect fight.
If Khan fought and beat Lazcano i would respect him a lot. Lazcano is a tough guy with good power and would be there to fight. Good call
Going to America, getting a yank coach and promoter and fighting some of the lightweight fighters over there is what he needs. He won't get a step up under Warren.
I have to agree with that. Hope that doesn't offend you English guys.
Who would be a step up for Khan?

Also, the problem people have with Khan isn;t the he hasn;t fought for a world title. It's the fact he never steps his comp up much, Limond, Lawton, Earl, St Clair,Kristjansen and Gomez....
hardley stepping up much.
Who would be a step up for Khan?
oh i see, not as many champions as i was led to believe, and as mrpain81 has stated, most of todays well respected champs didnt go for a world titles shot till their mid 20s!
