well he needs time to perfect it but he did good with it
but i dont think he has the same vision as floyd
anyway i think him and quintana would be a good bout for him
Andre Berto is a skilled and intelligent boxer. Just based on the work hes done in his past three fights it seemed obvious to me that he was a future star. I want to see him fight Quintana and then winner of Clottey/Judah.
But hes so damn short I can't see him getting passed PW.
Dam he has fuking improved alot
tell me about it.
i use to see him fight before (like on HBO PPV undercards or whatever) and thought, "i dont see whats the big deal about this guy" but after last night i can easily say he's a very good prospect...
hopefully he can step up in competition and (in a few years) we can be talking about fights like:
cotto v. berto
or
quintana v. berto.
that would be good stuff if he keeps improving...
on a side note; am i the only one who wishes gamboa and berto were the same size because it would be a REALLY good fight?
Give Berto credit for doin what he had to do, but he was supposed to look good against that guy. I still wanna see 1 more good performance from him against a decent fighter before he takes a big fight.
And he is using if effectively. Shit, Berto with some top level defense is a PROBLEM.
yeah hes actually been using it for a minute and looks to be getting a lot better with it.......its extremely effective (actually use it myself)
I like Berto. He has the speed, power, and has shown in this fight that his defense has vastly improved. He will be a problem for ANYONE in the WW division. I think its time for his to turn it up a notch in the competition dept though. The guy he fought tonight looked like a Mexican pop singer.
It looks like berto is the new ***** to be hated on by closet black fighter haters like wladowns and diegofuego
I have a heavily chronicled feud about that particular subject against wladowns. look it up. he says I hate white fighters, you say I hate black fighters, wtf is going on around here?
what reason do I have to hate Berto? he's a quality fighter with skills, but why are we hyping guys like Berto and Gamboa when they have 0 quality wins? you gotta beat SOMEBODY with a name to warrant conversation. Mayweather made his mark when he beat Hernandez. wtf has this kid done? I think it's a sad commentary on boxing when these kids get this much talk. it's like Billy Gillespie recruiting 8th graders to come play ball at UK. sad
