Pac would never get the credit he deserve.

The proof I offer is how Barrera fought against Pac, and how he fought in the past. If Barrera fought the same way he fought in the past, then I'm wrong. Don't be confused by barrera's age. Barrera fought Pacquiao in the same fashion as he got his biggest wins against Morales and Hamed. Pacquiao simply battered Barrera into a pulp and never lets him get into a rythm. And yet this same Barrera knocks out Paulie Ayala and beats Morales again immediately afterwards. Thats just not possible even for the great Barrera unless he was in peak physical condition.

At the time he fought Pac, Barrera was concensus #1 featherweight and was the Ring's "People's Champ" and widely held at least a top-3 p4p fighter. So him fighting the same way in the past is a big "IF." He also had back-to-back losses in his prime to a prime fighter named Junior Jones before. The KO losses of Pac are always being brought up and they are indeed a stain on his record, but that Pac is so far removed from the present day version of him. First KO loss I still hold today as a LOW BLOW. Him slamming the back of his head hard on the canvas didn't help either. The 2nd KO loss was when he lost his title at the scales. The failed effort to drain himself to make weight took a lot out of him before the fight and it was a body punch that took him down for the count.

Sasakul is a former world champ and still ranked in the top 5 by 3 of the 4 major sanctioning bodies at his weight today. Pacquiao beat Barrera in his prime. I dare you to show proof otherwise. "Prime" and "Past Prime" are words or terms being tossed around too much to kind of rain on Pacquiao's parade... as if most of the notable names in the resumes of let's say MAB and EM were all prime when they beat them. It sucks to argue that way about your fighter, doesn't it? It makes those who use that tact sound desperate to justify their idols' losses and at the same time belittling the efforts of a single rival who beat them.

I haven't seen any of Pc's fights when he was younger, only footage. I don't know how good those guys were. I know he won and was stopped in those fights. As far as the rest of his resume, he needs to do more in order to be ranked with those guys. Those guys had complete careers. Pac is still fighting.
