I think he shoud be moved up not because of Lockett but the WAY he beat Lockett. After 2 rounds of Pavlik, Lockett looked like he'd gone 12. Just so clam, relaxed. He looked as good as he could I guess, last night was a great night for boxing fans on both cards HBO and Showtime.
Gary Lockett was a low grade opponent. You don't het to be P4P list for beating guys like that, no matter how good you look doing it.

I like Kelly, but there is no way on earsth that beating Gary Lockett should affect his P4P status at all. This guy was several levels below Kelly, and it was a routine win.
I don't really pay much attention to the P4P stuff but Pavlik deserves his accolades.
He is a far more technical fighter that what a person sees at first glance. He is always setting up an opponent for something and his defense seems to be improving each fight.
I like the little things he does. I love it when an opponent gives him a peekaboo defense as it plays right into Pavlik's hands. He will either thread the needle with accuracy and shot selection or bat the opponents left hand away with a hook to deliver a right hand behind it.
I will say it now. Abraham and Winky would get slaughtered by Pavlik. He would eat them right up and stop both of them. Their Peekaboo defense would not deter him. He will dissect them.
Pavlik is a far more technical fighter than many give him credit for,
