Was Ponce vs JuanMa a preview of Margarito vs Cotto?

Cotto can beat Tony but he ain't stoppin him period, let alone in 1 rd.

first of all...i dont think u can be serious on that, margarito has a real good chin and cotto doesnt have Brutal KO power. But, the only thing i have to say is: PLEASE DONT! i wanna see a fucking war not 2 minutes of action, nevertheless i think the fight will end early. Ok, first before this fight everyone would've agreed that PDL had a very good chin also. Also, I'm talking about stylisticly. I can definitely see Cotto timing Margarito and stepping inside his windmills and landing clean short punches. While Margarito has a good chin that doesn't mean that he wont get hit, just that he can take a good amount of hits.

I've never seen Margarito remotely as stunned as Cotto was against Torres and Corley so I have no idea where this tko1 is coming from. Margarito's chin has been tested by a lot of guys. It will be a good fight. A blowout by Cotto ain't happening. PDL has always shown serious flaws and leaves himself extremely wide open and the southpaw against southpaw factor played a huge part in him getting drilled. Two completely different styles of fighters who have different lead hands. First off REREAD my post, never talked about 1st round KO. Talked about stylisticly. Also it was 2 lefties. And lefty vs lefty isn't really different from righty vs righty. The same openings are there just on the other side. The flaws you say PDL have shown are the same flaws Marg has usually shown, wide punches and leaves himself wide open man times, relying on his chin.

Could be, but the difference between Ponce and Margarito is that Ponce is hellishly strong, who could have been able to rip off Juanma's head, and Margarito doesn't have that kind of power, but more than makes up for it in stamina, chin and volume punching.

First off, I'm not talking about Cotto KOing Margarito in 1st round. I'm talking about the way he is going to periodically time and step inside on Marg and hit him with the tighter shorter punches.

I'm sorry but if Cotto and I do mean if Cotto destroys Margarito in the first Round I'd love to see what the Williams fans are going to say.
