So, who should Haye fight before Wlad?

The heavyweights suck so bad you have to give everybody a chance against everybody. Haye could be undisputed in a couple years if he's serious about fighting everybody unlike the other chumps.

I think Povetkin would be a good match up for both of them. If Povetkin wins then he makes a better case for fighting Wlad, if Haye wins then he's Wlad's mandatory. It's a shame that those are the top ten heavyweights in the world, though, isn't it a sorry state of affairs! I'm really holding my breath and hoping that Haye makes it as a heavyweight, the division needs someone with his star quality.

I actually voted Virchis, I really want to see how two guys with tremendous power who are not afraid to engage for a change.

I'll give him a pass for whoever he fight first because I understand that he has to make a name for himself with the fringe fans of the sport with a KO. But for his second fight I would like to see him go against one of the younger contenders such as Butler, Demitrenko, or Arreola.

I voted Ibragimov and I think it shows the board's intelligence that this was the #1 answer at the time of this post. Here's why: Sultan is a former papercup holder (whatever they call heavyweight belts now) and Wlad was unable/unwilling to put him away. If people see Haye run in there and KO this guy (Ibragimov is a KO waiting to happen), people will be like WOW, this guy needs to be fighting Wlad. But since he said he wants two fights, he might want to fight a Liakhovich first, then Ibragimov. How many fights did Holyfield take before fighting Douglas? Wasn't it like 2 or 3?

Agreed entirely but doubt it will happen a disgrace indeed ... they will be wheeling Bruno or Tyson outta retirement for him soon!!! Shannon Briggs and Jameel Mcline both had decent wins recently and have been around a bit ... how about a test with one of them. Well, they wouldnt be fights I would like to see, and I give the upperhand to Haye against either of the old guys. I just like fights to matter, and if Haye is just gonna beat up on old guys, the fights wont matter. It only matters to showcase Haye for future fights. I would rather just see a good fight then this anyday.

Out of the list, I would say either Povektin or Peter. I dont think they will put him in a ring with either guy yet. Is he really considering Mccall? That is a fucking disgrace if he is.

It takes two to make a fight, Even if Haye is willing to fight anyone from that list do you guys think the other guy would automatically say yes? I would love to see him face povektin but i doubt he would take the fight knowing he is next in line to face Wlad after he beats down Thompson.

I'd like to see him fight Tua or Peter, or even Shannon Briggs, test his chin a bit and see how his power carries to HW.

sam peter. the fight will end in a KO, either peter's clubbing haye behind the head until he knocks him out or haye's fast hands teeing off on peter's face until the ref stops it. the trash talk before the fight would be funny also, peter saying he's gonna mess up haye's pretty face and haye calling peter a gorilla and saying he'll send him back to africa

Haye talks an awful lot lately, I want to see him how he's gonna back his shit up. If he fights an old-ass Rahman, I will disregard Haye's yapping until he walks the walk and fights some legit HW.

I don't think he's going to fight any of those guys but if I were him, I'd go with Maskaev.

Those are old Ring ratings from early January. Lyakhovich has dropped out, Maskaev is #7 now. That's weird, I pulled them off of their website today.
