Pavlik: he has nothing for jc

Lets not get all excited here.......a LH Hopkins can punch harder than a MW Pavlik......JC will dance around this kid. I have watche his fights and the hype is not waranted .......if he fights JC he will lose BAD Calzaghe probably will dance around Pavilk if he's smart. If he comes down the pipe Pavlik will catch him like HOpkins did and IMHO Calzaghe will probably get up, but Pavlik is a better finisher than Hopkins. a 175lbs Hopkins can't puncher harder than 168lbs Pavlik.

Calzaghe is probably a bad fight for Pavlik... but what if Hopkins had the power of Pavlik??? would Calzaghe have been able to get up from that knock down?? I have been watching pavlik fights and tbh was surprised he is unbeaten. He doesn't want any JC.......he would get battered. JC is not good for him at all. You are right that stylistically Kelly Pavlik is an excellent matchup for Calzaghe, but saying he has nothing is stretching it a bit. What Kelly does he does very well, which is punch hard and straight with his jab and follow it up with another one or two punches. He does it so well that he has destroyed two decent opponents in his last three fights, but it will not be enough to beat Calzaghe, who will be able to avoid most of what Kelly throws and easily stand up to whatever Kelly does land. Kelly is no Jeff Lacy, but he is also no Mikkel Kessler, and Joe will win a UD verdict against him.

yeah people see to forget that Pavlik already faced and beat fighter with quick hands: Jermain Taylor a lot of people say calzaghe's hands are quicker, but about 80% of the entire fight joe slaps with his punches. so of course slapping would be much quicker than punching Yeah I think it is a great test for both of them. Both are in their prime although Joe will probably decline soon due to his age. I think it is a great fight that both can lose. Joe is getting older and Pavlik has never fought a southpaw who can give angles. Being a boxing fan and all, I want to see it happen and may the best man win. Some like this thread starter though makes me kinda wonder!hehe

Pavlik wouldn't be embarrassed but he'd lose a decision.

JC no longer has the hands to knock anybody out. He will win all his figts on points.......if he loses it won't be ko...his chin is made of tougher stuff than his knuckles.

Who knows, but I see at least 50 Pro Joe and Anti Pavlik threads every day. Everyone tries to make Pavlik unworthy as an opponent for Joe.
