That thinks Wlad can beat Haye. I mean holy shit, not one Brit on here is capable of making an educated decision on who would win this fight. How the hell can ANYONE really think that Haye has anything else but a punchers chance and a small one at that? Haye got slapped around by Carl Thompson. I know I know Corey Sanders..Wlad is a completely different fighter now and I will give Haye the benefit as well but man some of you people are delusional to believe that Haye would annihilate the best heavy in the world.
For the record I am not from the Ukraine, just looking at the facts.
The way I see it, this entire argument is extremely premature. Haye needs to first prove that he can defeat a few physically large, world class heavyweights before I even consider his odds against a 6-7, 245# giant of a champ like Wlad. So until I see that from Haye, the entire debate is essentially moot IMO. If and only if Haye demonstrates that he can handle some substantial heavies will it then be time to start pondering the "Wlad" question.
Furthermore, it's not like we have a substantial body of work to see how Haye himself will respond physically to fighting with a bodyweight of over 200#.....that still remains to be seen.
I was gonna not bother sounding off about this potential fight but i honestly believe if haye has a couple of good tune up fights at heavy he is knocking wlad out in the middle rounds.
I'm a Brit, and I think Wlad will beat Haye.
Im also British and I think Wlad should be favorite and has all the atributes to frustrate the hell out of Haye and KO him mid to late rounds.
but for me it depends on how elusive Haye can be and if he can make Wlad make mistakes then make him pay. But anyway I think Wlad will win but id be routing for Haye all the way:boxing::boxing:
Am a brit who think Wlad would beat Haye but i wouldnt rule out a haye win, Its just amazing how some people could think wlad cannot lose to haye, Anything can happen in HW boxing.
But Wlad is also slower and his punches will be seen unlike those "light heavys".
wlad has more handspeed now than either thompson or mormeck had when they fought haye... i dont buy klitschko being slow at all
that is just something people point out because he is big, white and they cant find anything else to criticize.
I know:)
We do get too carried away with our fighters, I'm not sure if it's an enthusiasm that spills over from the football fans who have gotten into boxing because of Hatton or if it's always been there, but I hope it turns out to be at least partially justified with Haye.
It's always been there. Especially among the brit heavies. Take Frank Bruno for instance.
The brits have always been very passionate of their fighters and boxing in itself has always been a major sport. Much more so than in any other european country. In GB boxing was (and still is?) a significant sport on boarding schools as well as public schools. So the brits has always provided good 'opponents' to housefighters all over europe. The point here is that boxing is much more popular and has a larger following than any other place in the world traditionally, so when they see a good prospect the brits always wants him to conquer the world.
The more I think about it it's not just boxing, but probably all sports. Tim Henman is another example of a (over)hypejob.
But you gotta love the brits they are so passionate about their fighters. Even more so when they lose. Take Henry Cooper. He was a very good HW but the brits didn't love him to begin with because he dethroned their big hero (who's name I've forgotten, maybe Joe Erskine or something). But that changed when he lost to Cassius Clay because of the way he lost. After that ol' 'enry and 'enry's 'ammer was adored by the british public transcending the sport to become a household name among all the brits not only the boxing fraternity.
Sorry fellas I got a little carried away from the topic, but the brits are a special breed and I love'em (when they don't give me red for mentioning that Lewis picked up his belt from the bin :lol1:)
thing is though it is not inconcievable that Haye could knock Wlad out.
It could happen.
Everyone knows that.
yeah, i dont think anyone is denying it either, the point is quite simply that his punchers chance amounts to about 10%
look.... wlad has been beaten by legit heavyweights known for their power
haye has been knocked down by three guys... thompson, mock and mormeck who were all light heavyweight before moving up to cruiser... haye was naturally 20 pounds bigger than all of them.
now haye is (hypothetically) fighting a guy who is 20-30 pounds naturally bigger than him
I think often ppl say they're local guy will win for hype, support, but don't really believe it. So it's seen as bias, when really its support. Difficult to separate the two esp when its just words on a screen. Hatton fans were largely mis understood based on this, pinch of salt is required I think, especially with the British sense of humour.

Haven't seen anything significant of Haye at Heavyweight to honestly say. But if you were to ask me now then Haye has a punchers chance that's it.
I disagree with anyone that thinks Haye can outbox him, Wlad is far superior in that department and much much bigger. But I'd give Haye a better chance against Wlad than his older brother Vitali.
Wlad is good, but not a great.
You make a good point, but have you considered
I am a Haye fan and I think he's good for the division. I'll be supporting the guy win, lose or draw.
I just wanted to post the video. No points made. I like Haye and think that he's a breath of fresh air. I hope for him and british boxing that he gets a fine career at HW.
My opinions regarding the hype surrounding him is another matter. Some brits get's too carried away by watching Haye crush Macca and instantaneously think that he is a second coming of Lennox Lewis.
And that is wishful thinking especially since he hasn't proven anything yet.
Heres my take. Im a brit who thinks Haye beats Wlad.
IMO Hayes speed and power will win him this fight. Wlad has an awesome jab but these stiff HW's are right there to be hit by it because there movement is so poor.
Wlad's movement is NOT poor! Wlad's footwork is better than any of Haye's bum opponents. And I call them bums because the cruiserweight division has always been, and it's still is a JOKE!
Haye can move and he shows a very good viarity of angles when he does this, he will NOT be a standing slow target for Wlad to tee off on.
You forgot to mention Haye's low left hand, Wlad distracts him with the jab and before you know it, Haye is down from a right hand he didn't see! That's the way it goes!!! You seen what happened to Taylor against someone with a distracting jab and a lethal right hand, same story here, or at least similar!
I just cant see past Wlad being down 11 times in his career either, he's been knocked down and out by lesser punchers than Haye in the past.
And he's been up every time, he was NEVER down for the 10 count and that means something!!! Wlad can get up and win!
I think it will be a Haye win inside 4 rounds.
Would you put real money on it?! That's what it comes down to...
On the flip side of that though it is the HW division and any fighter can be KO'd at any given time.
Haye has all the tools in his favor though, his skill, speed, power and movement will give Wlad nightmares.
Haye is smaller, Wlad has more skill, more power, he's proved it against real competition and I'd say they're pretty even in movement, the only thing Haye got the edge in is speed, BUT Wlad's incredible timing more than makes up for it!!!
Edited my response!

very intelligent argument with good points...
thank you
From what I've seen of Haye, he isn't as aggressive as Sanders was, not nearly so. Sanders basically blitzed Klitchko, got him shaken, and then moved in for the kill like a true predator. I simply don't think Haye is capable of the same thing, QUOTE]
Did you not watch the enzo fight?
Also what people dont realise about the carl thompson fight is, it was only haye's 11th pro fight against an ex world champion and it was for the IBO cruiserweight title, which wlad holds the heavyweight version at the moment. that in itself should tell you about the haye.
Please shut up about this fight.
Also if watch his interviews, especially the ones with westwood and tim lovejoy, this guy lives and breathes this sport, one example was his entrance music to the enzo fight was a nod to i think larry holmes, who used the same track. You add adam booth to the equation you have the most knowledgeable partnership in boxing today.
Compare this to the likes of sam peter and wlad, who dont have a fucking clue, this is why so many brits are backing haye to win.
