The Real Outcome of Miguel Cotto Vs Antonio Margarito.
I don't care how many threads people are making, but I barley make threads like this.
Miguel Cotto, young and hungry and skilled in many ways will dispose of Tony without a hassle. People think just because hes a pressure fighters and high punch output yada yada will make this fight hard for Cotto.
To an extent YES!, but overall no. Tony telegraphs alot of punches and tends to throw the widest shots and im telling you "Mark My WORDS," that Miguel Cotto will counter Tony and end the night shocking Tony and KO'ing him. Tony loves to throw the right hand lead following a left hook to the body (Or uppercut,) and he throws it alot! This will be the beginning of the end for Tony.
Many people think this fight will be a boxing match due to Cotto boxing and relying on jabbing and running (For the dumb people who don't know boxing)what not, but Tony will force it to be a fight and Cotto will break down Tony slowly and if I may say "quite dominant, not easy," but he will point out Tony's flaws and KO Tony. That's right knockout.. Tony won't beat the count.
Tony has been hurt plenty of times and so has Cotto. You don't need a hard chin to get rocked, it can be on the temple, the forehead and what not, but Cotto indeed has the power to rid of Tony, as well as Tony has the power to rid of Cotto. Will this fight be competetive? In my honest opinion, I would say no. I see Cotto breaking Tony down bad, and many will be surprised.... Shit even shocked when they see how few punches Tony will land on Cotto.
Trademark left hook downstairs and upstairs will be the beginning of the end.
Cotto will dispose of Tony in a onesided counterpunching festival. Many don't give Cotto credit for his punching and speed, but accumalation will be a factor in this bout, while Tony is getting older and fading with all those battles he has had, taking uneccesary damage for no reason..
Tony indeed has a chance, only if Cotto lets him.. Ala Kermit Cintron..> Staying in the inside and allowing TOny to execute his punch output and land damaging blows, but for this fight, you will not see it.
As for height advantage, I think it would just benefit Cotto, also knowing that Tony isn't all that tall, but I just find it hard to hear that many think Tony will make easy work of COtto and KO him.
Judah who had Cotto hurt with his blinding speed, who hurt Mayweather couldn't finish either fighter. Now imagine a telegraphed looping punch?
Honeslty.. Think with your heads and not your culture people. Cotto is the skilled boxer and fighter come on July 26th. Many things can happen, but when it comes to boxer/slugger Vs Slugger..... The outcome can be 50/50, but the skilled boxer always rises with a win.
Cotto will rid of Tony in 9 rounds. Accumalation... Past battles will catch up to Tony, in result to an unexpected body shot that will have Tony down and not beat the count. I wouldn't be surprised if Cotto get knocked down in this fight or even KO's Tony to the head!
PS: Don't bring up past fights on how Cotto was hurt with Corley or Torres. Its meaningless.
