It's obvious from that video that Cortez let Mayweather get away with a lot, while frequently being on Hatton for no reason. This and his deducting a point from Hatton for no good reason indicates he may even have been paid off by Mayweather.

Most elite fighters know how to bend the rules and be dirty to help them win. Only when it gets really extreme, like Pedroza-LaPorte, does it really bother me.

Love Hatton....but great fighters find a way to win. If Tyson was in Hatton's postition that night and not allowed to fight, he would of kicked his opponent in the nuts and got a massive payday in the rematch with a different ref.
