you know that height doesnt mean anything. Look at Tyson & Chico.
I think both Paulie & N'Dou looked clearly bigger then Floyd yesterday and both of them looked small next to Cotto even at 140, let alone at WW. My only point is that if were talking about the real P4P which means who is just really better then I think everyone would say that Floyd would straight up skunk a guy like Margarito and it wouldnt even be close but many people think he can win the fight just because he is naturally a much bigger & stronger man then Floyd. Thats why these guys dont fear Floyd. Everyone acts like there so tough but whats really special about it? They look at it like he's too small, not a real WW, he cant hurt me at all, and it will be by far my biggest pay day. Why should they fear him?
Why should they fear eachother? Margarito looks at Cotto look a good fighter who hasnt faced hardly anyone thats even close to his size, let alone bigger then him and he's been hurt by small guys. Cotto looks at Margarito like a guy who just gets by on overwhelming people with his strength but Im stronger, I punch harder, and he lost to guys like Williams, a average guy like Santos, and was given hell by Clottey. He thinks that people are overreacting to Magarito's win over Cintron who was ovewhelmed by light punchers with no skill like Feliciano.
I just dont get why people think they have guts for fighting eacother or that they should fear of eachother. Like I keep saying, its basically both of there 1st weight classes. There not going to fear anyone who is not way bigger then them, just like Floyd didnt care about anyone at 130 but when you move up and fight bigger guys then it changes everything and you saw how Margarito couldnt even beat a guy like Santos just 1 weight up
I agree with you in almost everything. But lets be clear here Floyd with 5'8 has an average height for a welter, he is not a big one but he is not short also like Cotto in comparision to Marg, Cintron,Collazo etc they are over the average size of a welter. Every man body its diferent and adapt also diferent to certain situations that athletes put themself in to. There has been guys more taller than Cotto that has began in the 130 and there body has adapt succesfully to that weight for example DLH. But that doesnt mean that other guy more taller or shorter can do the same because they are other considerations. Like muscular mass, his bodyframe etc. Cotto has the size to easily began his carrer in 135 because he is a 5'8 guy but his bodyframe do not permit him. This sense that Floyd has always fought guys more bigger than him is absurd. With his 5'8 he was big in the 130 and average in all most every weight that he has been in to. Obviously you sometimes found guys like P Williams and Marg in some divitions in boxing that are more bigger and strong than you but that doesnt mean that you dont belong to that weight. Lets be honest here, to me Floyd is the best pure boxer in box not only today but in the last decade or more and he is a great athlete the best. But also he has been not the strong one in the mayority of his biggest fight that he has been in to( corrales, Castillo) for example. He was not facing guys more bigger than him he was facing guys more strong than him. He is what he is because of his abilities. But sometimes theres is a limit in what can do specials skills vs physical disadvantages. And i think he is in this position right know if you think a posible match Between Floyd vs Marg or Cotto. ( that doesnt mean that he can not win but his chances are less).
Dlt, I look back at Mayweathers fight and im shocked to see how much a size difference Mayweather has against all his opponets. Mayweather was a huge jr. lightweight and you're a nutthugger is you think other wise. And no way Mayweather looked small against Castiloo you must be crazy. Against Delahoya Mayweather looked about the same size except Mayweather looked to have wider shoulders.
You finally got exposed you don't know as much as you think you do. Pernal "Sweet Pea" Whitiker fought and won the Legite 154 Pound Title!
And Floyd is one very much protected fighter! After the Castillo scare he fought no one of significance.
When Mayweather moved up to welterweight he picked on FORMER Jr. Welterweights.
Mayweather is one fighter that has been managed very well after the Castillo fight and before he faced Castillo you can make a great case that Mayweather fought tougher competition.
And someone already pointed out that Mayweather was the naturally bigger fighter then Whitiker. Whitiker was just skilled and had balls to face the bigger opponets.
everyone knows he had good size at 130 and then he had to move up to 135 where he has moved up unaturally ever since. No way he had the size over anyone since going to 135, not one time. If you think he was anywhere near as big as Castillo then you are smoking. Floyd never came into any fight at 135 at over 139 pounds. Castillo would come into the ring at 147 or more for all his fights. You look too much at height. Just you saying that Floyd was close to Oscar shows you how much you are off and the only reason why Floyd was even that big is because Oscar forced him in the contract to have to weigh-in at 150.
Also, Sweet Pea only had 1 fight at 154 which was his last fight and he lost when the ref stopped it because he got hurt. He never won any title at 154 so think again. Infact I think Castillo came in over 150 pounds. I know that Chico was 147 for there fight while Floyd was only 135 and it was similar in the N'Dou fight
Thats not true at all. They didnt start at 130 like you say. They started at LW. Floyd was way smaller then everyone he fought at LW and looked like a little boy next to Castillo while Mosley was one of the biggest, strongest LW's you will ever see. Sweet Pea was also much more solidly built then everyone keeps saying. He's easily naturally a bigger guy then Floyd. He also fought small guys when he moved up. The only big guy he really fought was Oscar. The other guys he fought at WW were guys like Chavez and McGirt who were noway near the size of Cotto while Sweet Pea was bigger then Floyd. When Sweet Pea fought Oscar, everyone forgets that Sweet Pea weighed more or just as much as Oscar did in the ring. Him and Shane are way bigger then Floyd. Thats why both guys basically had to jump 2 divisions when they moved up.
Floyd went from 130 to 154 while Sweet Pea only went from 135-147 and he was bigger then Floyd. Its not the same like you say. Shane isnt the biggest guy in the world but he's clearly much bigger then small. Floyd fought Oscar and came into the ring at 146 while Mosley can easily get up to 160 in the ring when he's at 154. Its like when guys compare Floyd to other WW's like SRL & Hearns. Its so unfair because you know there thinking about who would win at WW. Ofcourse you would favor the other 2 when they started at that weight and are naturally way bigger then Floyd but if you compare them at 147 to Floyd at 130 then Floyd can easily hold his own and he moved up in weight way way better then those 2 did or even Mosley & Sweet Pea. None of those guys look the same when they moved up except Floyd

But Mosley and Pernell fought all on comers which is the point I'm trying to make.
Gayweather is a sissy and wont fight anyone he knows can beat him, if he did he would end up with a record similar to Pernell or Mosley.

Future reference: Saying things like Floyd ducked Winky makes you sound fucking stupid, and really does take away from the more legitimate parts of your post (Margarito).
The Mayweather-Wright fight was proposed when Floyd had just moved up to 140, and Winky was at the end of his time at 154.
Good try though.
But Mosley and Pernell fought all on comes which is the point I'm trying to make.

Yeah, that shit I ain't too fond of, the fact that he isn't willing to fight the biggest threats out there. That said he's still the best P4P, for the time being at least.
But Mosley and Pernell fought all on comers which is the point I'm trying to make.

Mosley fights at Welterweight too after coming from Super Featherweight, Pernell did too.
Floyd has no excuses.
Well, the same applies to them too :) they were also at one point in their respective careers P4P NO1
However, I believe Mosley was a natural welter, who like Khan fought at lightweight but belongs in one or two divisions above.
Mayweather came up from Super Featherweight but so did Oscar De La Hoya who even went as far as Middleweight! Now I understand Oscar is bigger but Floyd shouldn't have any excuses if he wants to say he's the best Welterweight in the world.
Oh, nobody's calling Money the best welter in the world, that title belongs to Cotto.
He showed no ambition of fighting any live opponents and he gets credited with #1 P4p?
Pfft!
Joke..
Why did Calzaghe duck RJJ and Hopkins in their primes and only wants to fight them when they are over the hill???

I wish I could find the story but before there fight there was a article on here talking about people comparing Oscar's size to Floyd because they both started at 130 and he showed how much of a joke it was. There not the same at all in terms of weight and never have been. Oscar was just killing himself to fight smaller guys. He was always a big guy
