His power is definatley there! Good chin too despite bieng on the floor twice
That first "knockdown" wasn't anything even closely resembling a knockdown.
Edwin Rosario was a top boxer in the 80's. Jr. Lightweight and Lightweight. He had an extraordinary chin for a fighter that small. He Fought everybody back then, real tough guys. I have never seen or heard of anybody actually knocking him down, though he was stopped a couple of times, I don't think anybody actually knocked him down though. You guys might have to check on that. Anyways, Jiminez made me remember Rosario...who was a great warrior.
no, its just that Jimenez has a very hard chin, he has never touched the canvas, gamboa hit him good and he tookt he like nothing, some people just dont fall... Like Oliver McCall
He´s Like Juan Diaz, Faster But Without Power Punch, That´s Gonna Be His Big Problem All His Career. I Think His Chin Is In Doubt Yet.
I think your English capabilities are most definitely in doubt.
It was a really mean hook and he was off balance, but after standing up his first 1-2 steps were a bit sloppy though, just rewatched it. The camera angle isn't perfect to see the action
True, the camera angle didn't let us see where his feet were.
There was a punch involved but I think it was more of him being off balance.

His feet looked a bit shaky.
Well his first and last opponents weren't knocked out because they were in extrem defensive mode. Jimenez was only countering at some stages

The first time against De Jesus was more of him getting pushed down.
The second time against Jimenez was more off balance than anything.

I have not seen these fights so I shouldn't really comment, but the fights I have seen he has been impressive. Good luck to the man.
Hasn't Gamboa been down twice already in his 10 fights? If so, I would say he has a suspect chin, but you can't really tell until he has been in with some top fighters.
He has incredible speed, while his movement and footwork are pretty top notch too. He should go far, but if I was him, I would stay at super featherweight. I really do think the guys at lightweight would be too big for him.

his MAJOR flaw is that he fights without keeping his hands up...
chin is decent; power is there its just jimenez can take a punch...just look at the brusing/swelling on jimenez's face...that should tell you how accurate gamboa was and give you a hint as to the stength of his punches as well...
but every fighter has flaws...
regardless, im very impressed with gamboa.
His chin looks solid, nothing special but he can take a punch.
He has good power but he seemed to lose some snap to his punches as the fight wore on, he can work on that.
I also agree with Scott, his stamina and workrate surprised me a bit in the latter stages.
i thought darling could definitely take a punch. he never went down the whole 10 rounds.
u only have to look at his face and see how many shots he took.
very durable fighter who can take a beating.
You are completely wrong on both fronts. If you ask me he proved that he has more than a decent chin last night and i dont think anyone would argue against his punching power, that statement is flat out wrong, no debate...
To me, the most impressive thing Gamboa did was set a hot pace in the last round of the first fight he has been even close to that distance.
Agreed. . .
