I think Quintana wins by UD possibly late stoppage.
Williams says hes working on sitting down on his punches.....hes said that before all of his recent fights. Fact is, he is who he is. The way he punches and fights is just his instincts and naturally how he fights. He looked different and couldnt get off as much in the first fight, that is because Quintana wouldnt allow him too with his movement/defense and landing great shots of his own.
Quintana fought a nearly perfect fight the first where as Williams can possibly fight a lot better. So Williams does have a chance. But I noticed Williams would usually only do well when Quintana tired. If Quintana is more relaxed and doesnt tire than Williams is in trouble, in my opinion.
This fight will probably look a lot like the first fight. Williams cant count on his chin holding up taking huge shots like he took in the first fight. Eventually, if you keep hitting the rock it will crack. I wont be surprised at all if we see Williams go down.
I was pretty much the only one who picked Quintana to win the first fight, i hope more people pick him this time lol.
:boxing:
oh and also, making weight wont get any easier for Williams.
I love how Williams went from the most feared man in boxing to where he is now. 75% of BS fans picking Quintana over him.
That being said, I like Quintana to beat Williams too :)
Tough call. Quintana needs to work on his conditioning, I thought he was going to run out of gas during the first fight. Williams needs to force the fight and not fight at Quintana's pace. I'm leaning towards Williams in the rematch.
I'll be rooting for Williams, but in the last fight I didn't see much from Williams that says to me that he can beat Quintana. Carlos made him look slow and with that movement totally confused Williams and limited his usual high punch output. If Williams finds a way to deal with that he has a better chance, but if he doesn't it's going to be a replay of the first fight.
I think Paul Williams is gonna come through this time and win by decision. If he makes the adjustments and fights at a distance pumping the jab to the chest he should win by decision. I think Paul comes to the fight hungry and seeking revenge and punishes Quintana.
As I have said in previous posts, if Williams has made the neccessary adjustments and improvements he'll win a decision.
If he doesn't, Quintana would beat him again.
