I'm asking this 'cause I really want this fight to happen but all I see in the forum is 70% of the threads are related to the dream fight of Cotto vs Mayweather which is good it means people DO want to see the fight I think it'll sell better than DLH vs Mayweather II.
My question is why are Floyd Fans so defensive about a fight against Cotto wouldn't THAT BE GREAT. I mean if you're so sure your guy is going to win why complain about how much money will Mayweather make, or Cotto is not on the level of Floyd, Cotto is not a draw............... WHO CARES.
I personally think Floyd can win but I think Cotto can pull out the upset so, are you scared that Floyd can actually lose this fight.
I don't see them complaining about a the rematch against Oscar (because they think Floyd is going to win) so what do you think, are they scared that 0 could go or what?
Please I'm just curious.:puppy_dog
You did not suck it up and move on by contuing to campaign that Oscar won even though the large majority thinks that Floyd won. The purpose of debates on a forum is that sometime when you get slapped with evidence like punchstats or just round by roud scoring or the fact that the fight was EASY to score compared to the Hopkins-calzaghe fight where you don't see any eye catching punches. Considering all of that a logical person might say "you know maybe I was wrong". You're not doing that and you got called on your bullshit......so spare us the compromising your beliefs Bs.
Punchstats were bullshit in the fight, cant comment on the Bhop fight since I saw it on sopcast(I thought BHOP won). I can continue to voice my opinion because it in and of itself does not DEMAND, even for arguments sake since I have no real influence over fights happening or not(althought I bet people inside boxing come here), a rematch. I have given my reasons for scoring that fight the way I did NUMEROUS times, if you think its "illogical" to hold to them, go suck your moms dick.
nope, because I can recognize that no one else feels the way I do, and can decide that whats best for boxing is NO rematch.
For example, say I was in the army but disagreed with the Iraq war. I might not "live my conviction(LMAO)" and refuse to fight, I would suck it up and move on without compromising my own beliefs for the good of others. In the same way, I dont verbally promote the rematch because it is bad for boxing, whether I think there is legit reason for a rematch or not(I dont, just because I know boxing and there is no way Oscar wins BASED ON HIS PERFORMANCE IN THAT FIGHT, not on faceless speculation like the Fraud-huggers use to say Cotto has no chance).

Okay, I'm chewing.
Let me get this straight.
So you admit that everyone (except you, :fing02:) thought Floyd won the fight pretty clearly.
But here's the problem: if you truly lived by your conviction that Oscar won the fight, you would want to see a rematch. Sorry, a fighter getting "lucky" isn't a legitimate excuse for not having a rematch. In fact, shouldn't that be the optimal reason a rematch should occur in the first place?
Conclusion: Deep down you know Floyd won the fight, even though I will probably never get you to admit it, which is the real reason why you don't want to see a rematch.
None of us want to see a rematch, but the difference between you and the rest of us is, we all actually saw Floyd soundly beat Oscar, you claim you didn't.
"Plain and basic common sense" doesn't translate to the glarring double-standards and hypocrisy in your post.
Seriously, just think about it.
Your excuse for not having a rematch, even though you thought Oscar luckily earned the decision, is "well he's going to lose the rematch anyway no one thinks the first fight was close". Isn't that the same tune a lot of delusional Mayweather fans use as to why Floyd shouldn't even bother fighting Cotto? Because, he's "just going to lose anyway".
Plain and basic common sense, baby. Perhaps you could use a dose. :owned:

That might be fair but here is what I think:
The easiest way to discredit a fighter is to say that he lost a fight and not want to see a rematch.
That way you can always count that fight against Floyd as a loss without a rematch to clear things up. Floyd had a close fight Castillo but cleared it up in the rematch because he himself thought it was close and knew that people perceived the decision he got as controversial.
With Delahoya IMO ........he knows he won (as well as the majority of fans) and he doesn't care whether the whole world thinks the same way, he will use the one judge that gave it to Oscar as an explanation (when asked about it) to get another shot at him and toy with him again winning 8 or 9 rounds to cash in some nice change.
But does a rematch really clear anything besides who the better man is? I dont think that is what they are fighting for, everyone knows that a prime Floyd now is a better fighter than Oscar. A loss is a loss, and in this age of inflated undefeated records it can be all the difference.
Um, just because I think Oscar beat Floyd doesnt mean I automatically think there should be a rematch. Oscar IMO got LUCKY to beat Floyd, he wont win a rematch. That, combined with a lack of popular support for the closeness of that fight and the rise of cotto, leads me to conclude that there should be no rematch. Plain and basic common sense. Chew on that for a while.

That's bullshit.. why don't you go tell that to the men who were shaking in their boots before they fought Tyson.
Man my pops been knowing Tyson since he was like 15 and Tyson was the SCARIEST one in the ring. That is why he went so hard. He was scared, look deep into his eyes. he did a good job in disguising it, but thats real....
FYI no fighter is scared of another fighter. so put that to rest. and i as a floyd fan do want to see floyd whoop cotto. it just gets irritating hearing all these stupid cotto boys crying for it saying floyd is scared lol. I do not want to see dlh vs floyd 2 i dont see the result being the same. I do not want to see floyd hatton too i dont see the result being the same. It's not so much us defending floyd is just us firing back at all the crying and stupid talk that the cotto boys do.

All of them! not in those words they use BS excuses such as what has he done? who has he beat? meaning they dont want it to happen
Not in those words huh? OK.
How many fans have said they dont want to see this fight?

I think so! I mean come on who doesnt want to see the best fight the best? the only fans I hear this come from is Floyds fans. I beleive its fear I think even they know that Floyd is still a question mark since moving to 147 he has not looked like the killer he did at the lower weights, that might concern a few fans of his in fact beleive it has.
That's because Hatton's ppv drawing power had NOTHING to do with the fact an ENTIRE COUNTRY was behind him. DUHHHHHHHHHHH. This was EVIDENT when 20k fans came from across the ocean just to see him fight. Shit, Cotto fought in AC and it wasn't even sold out. Hatton was a HUGE name which was proven as a fact with the enormous results of the bout between the two.
Hatton was a big name in the U.K, not here. His drawing power prior to fighting Floyd was all in the U.K, not here. U fanboys constantly bring up Cotto's lackluster ppv numbers, yet Hatton was yet to prove that he was a major ppv star. U fanboys discredit Cotto's wins over Shane and Judah, yet feel beating Castillo and Kosta made him deserving, even though u fanboys discredit those wins aswell. What gives???
I didnt see ANY Floyd fans complaining about Hatton's lack of PPV drawing power prior to the Floyd/Hatton fight. I didnt see any of his fans arguing that Hatton needs some more marquee names under his belt prior to deserving a fight with Floyd. All Floyd fans did was discredit Hatton's wins over Castillo and Kosta by saying that they were both past it and shot. What did Hatton do prior to his fight with Floyd, that was more impressive, or earned him shot a Floyd, that Cotto hasnt done?

Nah, Floyd is the one who's scared, his "fans" are just trying to cover his ass at all costs, even if it makes them look like idiots.i think your right cause they all say the same shit he does over and over and over its like their brainwashed by him:ugh:
I am leaning towards a tko stoppage if the fight takes place at 147. oscar will be under 160 fight night which means floyds pounches will do more damage. oscar is very strong and big so I give floyd a 25% chance for a tko
Yeah I agree Oscar is taking a bigger risk by fighting Floyd at 147. But I don't think Floyd can Ko him, unless Oscar starve himself to make 147, he'll have less stamina too.
are they scared that 0 could go or what?
They ain't scared they just don't wanna believe he can lose, so they diss Cotto just like Floyd himself does. It's all part of the game. It sucks the fight ain't happenin yet but we got Cotto v Marg for now so fuck Floyd. He's gotta either fight or retire after he beats DLH again.
