After watching Pavlik-Taylor II, Pavlik didnt seem to carry the same power he has @ 160 just 6 pounds north. I believe if there is ever a Pavlik-Miranda rematch at 168+lbs, Miranda KOs him pretty brutally. If Pavlik wins, it'll be because of his determination and consistancy via decision.
That is how I see it. The Abraham fight will either ruin that theory or confirm it. At 160 and below Miranda loses to Pavlik everytime. He just is not the same at that weight and Pavlik is very fit for 160lbs. At 168lbs plus, Miranda keeps his power and stay healthy. Pavlik gains nothing by the extra weight as seen against Taylor. Hell, he had 166lbs given to him and he only took 164lbs. Miranda had 170lbs given to him against Banks and he took it all plus 1/4 of a pound more!!!
Just look at the weigh in pics of these two at 160lbs. Miranda is nothing but skin/bones/muscle. Pavlik doesnt even show any abs. It is amazing Miranda ever went down this low, not healthy....

Pantera is one of my favorite fighters, but Pavlik is pretty tall, so it would seem like he could put on that weight and be pretty effective at 168.

Yeah that's what Im saying. Nothing in that first fight made me think that Miranda could beat Pavlik and I think the result would be the same at 168 unless Miranda improves quite a bit.
Kelly is no built to move up. At 168lbs plus, Miranda easily stops Pavlik. It will happen, it's in the stars!

I'm rootin for Miranda. But if AA wins he might get a shot at Pavlik if Arum is willin to forget about the whole Rubio thing. Pavlik's earned the easy Lockett fight but after that he should take a real challenge.
I think Miranda has fought the better competition but for some reason I feel he will lose to Abraham probably by decision. I think Abrahams has a great defense, but his workrate sucks because I think he has stamina issues or some shit. :boxing:
nah you will never see Miranda fight at that weight again. I believe it is at 166.
This fight is to settle a score more than anything else.oh, so it wont be for the title...i dont care i still want to see these 2 get it on
who ya got?
is the fight going to be for abraham's belt at 160?

I cannot wait. Miranda is one of my favorite fighters and Abraham has gained my respect big time for doing what he is doing. He is showing a huge set of nads for taking on the man who broke his jaw.
Two huge punchers going at it. I expect this fight to be much better than the first and both have enough Power to win!!
Rock On!!
