Conclusions about Cintron?

Mark Suarez, Teddy Reid & David Estrada were all solid contenders that Cintron blasted out, & Matthysse was a dangerous fighter, even if his conditioning & training habits a little suspect. Cintron's could still pick up another title if he continues seriously - would like to see him in against the rejuvenated Quintana, Paul Williams or Andre Berto after a confidence builder against a journeyman. However, what has become pretty clear is that he doesn't handle consistent pressure very well. He could fight Margarito a dozen times with exact same result, & pretty much the same against Cotto, although suspect he would do better against Cotto (Cotto simply not as busy as Margarito when he starts fast) Him beating Paul Williams & Carlos Quintana would be a big deal for him personally, as well as a kind of boxing justification, & hope he goes for those fights. Also, if Margarito vacates to fight Cotto, he'd probably be in line to fight the winner of Clottey & who-ever as the former champ. Him against Clottey would be worth watching. He can definitely beat people with shaky chins like Berto with a single punch and possibly Quintana who usually gasses down the stretch. Cintron vs. Williams is probably a toss up because Paul has no power but can take a good beating and throws a lot of weak shots to score points. Clottey, on the other hand is durable and has good defense which is probably why Cintron didn't defend his title against him and would probably frustrate Cintron. Say what you want about Cintron but he has great power and a pretty solid chin as well seeing that no one has dropped him with a single shot yet or put him on queer street with the same. He just needs better management in choosing fights he can win and look good doing so.

He's clearly one dimensional and his best weapon is his right hook. He is so pathetic, I think andre Berto stops him late even at this point in bertos career. :boxing: He is a joke, and overrated him. He fought the same retarded fight before. He purposely fought a in close battle with margarito*margarito didn't really need to chase him, Cintron was the one who wanted to fight in the inside?* All in all, he is crap and he will never be nothing more then crap. I thought he looked bad against jesse felicano because he had an off night, turns out Cintron is crap and he probably was even hurt in that fight at times against jesse, thats how pathetic I think cintron is now. He is a huge fraud and so one dimensional. Hope he got paid well because he fails at the elite level. I'm not a cintron fan anymore because of the way he fought, he didn't fight smart at all. gimme your opinions, and feelings on him. Move up in weight and pick his opponents more carefully. He still has a lot to learn about fighting someone who won't back down from him.

My perception of Cintron is he has confidence issues, poor foot-work, and terrible defense. After hearing his declaration that this fight would be dedicated to his Puerto Rican people, I thought I would've seen a different fight other than an almost exact replay of their initial fight. Anyway, it's painfully obvious to Cintron now that Margarito kicks his ass 7 days a week, 365 days a year, and least we forget, 24 hours a day. Manny can not give that young man heart. Your either born with it or you ain't. Cintron needs to move up to 154, he has the frame for it, because dancing with any of the elite at 147 is only another brutal beat down for him.

still a decent fighter, got beaten by one of the best in a stacked division. i'd like to see him and quintana i think their about the same level and it would be a great fighter. and yes he's leaps and bounds above berto

Cintron shouldn't fight good fighters who can take a punch and apply effective pressure. It's that simple. He needs somebody who is gonna give him distance, somebody who doesn't throw a lot of punches. He is a poor boxer when he's being backed up. Doesn't seem to deal with adversity too well. Wouldn't it be MargaritOWNED?

forget what I think about Cintron, Margarito can take one hell of a shot, that being said Bring on the welter weight unification tourny NOW!!!! I dont think Floyd is too interested in risking what there is to risk in fighting one of these guys never the less the winner between Margarito and Cotto should get a crack at Floyd, But something tells me Floyd will fuck that up first my thoughts are Floyd will lose to Oscar just to get a third big money fight with DLH so that the public does not demand him to face the winner of Cotto Margarito.

Good fighter, knows how to punch but thats about it. His defense is weak, his footwork is slow and it costed him again last night. He's more of a puncher than a boxer.
