Tarver sent Roy back to the chicken farm.
tarvers best fight was in the rocky movie.
the guy throws a punch with his eyes closed and gets a lucky ko all of a sudden he's great?
roy jones jr.>>>glengoffe johnson>antonio tarver
tarver and the word greatest doesn't belong in the same paragraph together let alone the same sentence.
60-40 in his prime roy kicks his ass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like Tarver and I respect what he's done, but no way is he the greatest light-heavyweight champion. He's a guy who loses fights he's supposed to win and wins fights he's supposed to lose.
I picked him to beat Harding, Jones, Johnson and Hopkins.
And then I picked against him in the rematches, save for Hopkins whom he never fought again.
All credit has to be given to Hopkins for beating Tarver so one-sidedly, at his advanced age he gave Tarver a resounding beating. More comprehensive than even Harding was able to give him.
Pookins is scared to fight Tarver again, cause he knows he will get whooped.
Kicking ass......like what he does now.

Nope, thats an insult to Bob Foster, Michael Spinks, Archie Moore and Roy Jones Jr.
Before 2004, where was this guy?
Kicking ass......like what he does now.
There is no way he is the greatest. LOl a man who got a boxing lesson from an old Hopkins can't be considered as the greatest ha ha. The greatest boxer's giving boxing lessons not geting them.....
Ezzard Charles
Archie Moore
Michael Spinks
Roy Jones Jr
Jimmy Bivins
Saad Muhammad
Billy Conn
Gene Tunney
Bob Foster
Michael Moorer
Bob Fitzsimmons
Sam Langford
Dwight Muhammad Qawi
Just to name a few LHWs BETTER than Tarver.
you're being kind......
tell the truth...... you didn't feel like doing any more typing and decided to stop halfway through your list right? :-)

No.
You can flip what you say here.
He has just beaten a good but workmanlike fighter in Woods, his other big fighters at this weight he has hardly dominated i.e. Jones won 1 lost 1, Johnson won 1 lost 1 and Hopkins lost 1.
Good wins against Harding and Griffin but how can you compare a guy who has 27 wins in only 31 fights and 11 title fights (3 of which he lost) against some of these below?
Bob Foster
Archie Moore
Gene Tunney
Victor Emilio Galindez
