Boxing would be a better world if every boxer was like Amir Khan and didn't listen to their promoters and didn't care for a blown up record and fought the very best that they possibly could. Here are some quotes which really impressed me. Amir Khan has gotten a warning from his Promoter Frank Warren to emulate Joe Calzaghe and not Prince Naseem Hamed. Khan would like nothing more than to smash Hamed's record as Britain's recent youngest world champion. Naz was just over 21 years of age in 1995 when he won the WBO featherweight title. Khan has about three months left to beat Hamed's record.Warren is more interested in shaping Khan's career in the path of Calzaghe's undefeated record rather the path of Hamed's career. Undefeated lightweight Amir Khan, who over the weekend at the Bolton Arena stopped Martin Kristjansen in seven-rounds to capture the WBO's top ranking, has issued a warning to WBO/WBA/IBF champion Nate Campbell and WBO-interim champion Joel Casamayor.

are you even a boxing fan? name 1 fighter who has fought better opposition than khan 16 fights into their careers. just 1. Are you serious, or are you just a moron? Or maybe you are one of those Amir Khan fans! Just off the top of my head, Oscar De La Hoya, in only his 12th professional fight ever, won the WBO Super Featherweight title. Yes, he was a World Champion after just 12 fights. If you do not believe and you think I am a liar or you think I am a guy who has a limited boxing knowledge, then check the history books.

David Haye is the guy to be impressed with. He also has a manager who reflects his ambition and does whatever the fuck he wants him too. Jean Marc Mormeck in Paris Enzo Maccarinelli when you are killing yourself to make the weight. Because the fans want to see it. Other notables former Cruiserweight world champ Carl Thompson in his 10th fight. Watch who this guy selects as his first proper heavyweight test. Probably someone fucking ridiculous like Valuev. I love Haye.

Hamed cleaned up all four belts with KO's and fought lb4lbers at MSG and MGM (Kelley, Barrera) all in his mid-20's. Joe Calzaghe was the joke of boxing until his mid-30s. Hamed's legacy is greater than Calzaghe's. And he made a lot more money... Naz right now is lazing around his luxury mansion (the biggest in Sheffield), eating spicy food, watching TV, shooting pool, and having his bird do whatever he tells her to do... not bad. hamed earned al lot more money than Calzaghe, I don't think he gives a shit about legacy. Also, shaping his career in the form of Calzaghe's i hate to say it but Joe was protected for far too long, as good as he is he wasted his peak years. true. I never understood the concept of protecting fighters even for the promoters. putting fighters in big fights in their prime years seems to make the most sense for everyone. its a shame that promoters have this screwed up belief system.

Tbh, I think Warren has a point. Getting this title shot by his 21st bday seems to be all that is driving Khan. What will he do when it doesn't happen? I think he's a promising fighter but I don't think he's world class yet.
