Who was better at the time?

I don't like B-hop, but I will pray that he kicks Calzaghe's ass even at this advanced stage of his career. I know it is not probable he can do it, but I don't think I will be able to take the Calzaghe nuthuggery levels preached to even higher heights than it is now if Joe wins.

The version of Roy that fought Bhop, or the current Calzaghe version that is fighting BHOP???????? It's hard to say. Calzaghe didn't fight anyone until late in his career and Roy mostly fought the better fighters in the first half of his career. So, if I had to make a judgement I'd say Roy in '93 was probably a tougher opponent for Hopkins than Calzaghe is in '08. But Hopkins is 43 now. So, age might be the thing hurting Hopkins the most now.

hmmmm Roy was the best but I think Calzaghe because of his workrate will beat BHop more definitively than Jones did. Current Roy would give Calzaghe a tougher fight than current BHop I think too. i agree with that 100%

I say Roy. Even though it was earlier in his career.. He was just somethin else.

hopkins has more tricks and better skill then when him and jones faught. i would pick hopkins over jones at this point

Calzaghe. He's got more experience and is more agressive than Jones circa 1993.
