I echoe the same words.
American fight fans are living a dream. They would rather see there hometown boy win a cheap fight. Then watch a true champion in Joe Calzaghe perform at his best and win a clean fight.
You are the opinion of a European homer. You give no credit where credits due. Can you give us a little props for landing on the moon maybe?
He does have a sneaky right hand that is deceptively quick.
He'll land that on Joe.
That shit aint never going to be enough.
He has to knock Joe out. Doubtful.
Unless he makes it boring enough to make it hard to score and gets a semi-gift.
He at this point is pretty much Johnny Nelsonesqe...:puppy_dog
Agreed. If JC's chin wasn't ridiculously solid I would be slightly worried, but the guy seems to walk through huge bombs (as he did from Reid, for example) but WTF, I don't understand how he remained upright.
While I would never be foolish enough to count Hops out completely, my guess is he's gonna need a lot more than the power he possesses and some slick counter right handers to have any effect on Calzaghe. And he certainly ain't winning on points, as far as I'm concerned.
Yeah, it's a pretty sloppy, unexciting fight.
Get this -- I watched the Hopkins-Wright AND both Taylor fights on slow motion a couple of nights ago. Why... I'm not sure. I just wanted to study Hopkins' strengths and weaknesses, but I must admit to being close to falling asleep on more than one occasion. Not very interesting.

LOL, Enzo losing it. He basically just said that they plan on trying to overwhelm Hopkins with a high work rate, one high enough not to give Bernard time to think. Good luck with that because that's exactly what Hopkins and his team are training for.
Hopkins does need a slow pace.
Anyway Joe can't fight a slow pace. Joe just needs to do what he always does.
If Hopkins wins then he as alot better than most people including me think he is.
Just watched Hopkins/Wright for the first time.
ouch! I can't believe I watched it all.
I got that good feeling you get from reading a shit book that you really pushed yourself to read to the end.

I'm from the philly area, and I'm rooting for Calzaghe

It ain't Hopkins' game to try to be entertaining. I expect it to be a good fight but not necessarily a great one. B-Hop will do just enough to win as always and Joe C will bring the heat. Joe better hope his pops ain't jinxed this year.
I think B-Hops knows he is a boring fighter.
This fight is going to be a shocker.
Hopefully its not so difficult to score.

Enzo won't be the one fighting Bernard Hopkins on April 19th.
this is true, although his frustration can rub off on Joe...I can see enzo becoming critical of his son between rounds, Joe will catch that vibe and thats when his emotions come into play...can't get emotional in there with B-Hop, thats what he wants out of his opponents...
