Librado Andrade vs. Edison Miranda

I'm shocked at how many people have Librado winning this. My take on this fight, if it happened, is pretty simple: Andrade looks like a beast not because of his speed, or power- or even general boxing ability- it's because he can take a punch. Now Miranda is rough, and sometimes looks sluggish/slow- but when Andrade has already shown such a poor defense against limited opposition; Miranda is a top 10 player, guys. He has the power. If you put him in there with someone who can't hurt him- and I don't think Andrade can- and allow him to hit you all night...he's going to knock you out sooner or later. Librado's defense is not up to par...sooner or later he's going to sleep. I know Kessler hits hard- but I believe that with sheer power alone Miranda is a beast- and Andrade was dropped by Mack...he is human, gentlemen. Miranda by KO. Believe it or not, Mack is better than Miranda in all area's besides chin and stamina. The shots that you don't see is what will get you and Miranda does not have the hand speed nor counter punching ability that Mack possess, nor is he a better pure boxer with the reflexes of Mack. Kessler was able to land punches at will and not only does Kessler punch harder and is more accurate than Miranda, but he also a better boxer as well. Andrade was able take Kessler's shots without being staggered once in the fight nor busted up or swollen. Miranda cannot fight going backard and Allan Green and Kelly Pavlik both showed is this. I think that Andrade would push Miranda back, discourage him, take all that he has to dish out, and stops a gassed out Edison Miranda in the late rounds in a great fight. Sweet

andrade is easy to hit but he always comes forward and miranda cant fight going back,andrade's chin is good enough to with stand a couple shots to keep miranda going back Andrade is far from Kelly Pavlik especially in the boxing abilities column Pavliks fights against Taylor should have displayed that fact. Andrade wont be able to use the stiff jab that Pavlik was able to keep Miranda at bay and Miranda's stamina I think wont be an issue at 168.

Call it a toss-up. I don't see Miranda winning a decision even though I think either guy could accumulate damage to get the knockout. If I had to pick I'd say Andrade. He can throw a lot of punches without tiring and I don't think Pantera could match his stamina.

this would be an awesome fight. I dont see anything that could prevent this from happening at the end of this year. I got Miranda by late KO or TKO, Andrade can take a punch but he hasn't fought a guy with monster power like Edison Miranda. I think a couple of right hands will do the job.

i was thinking the same thing actually when andrade fought miranda and was actually gonna make a thread about it, but i forgot.. i think if miranda can hurt him he wins.. andrade got hit a good bit, and i don't know if he can stand up to miranda's punches, i got pantera

This fight might happen because now that Kessler backed out of the fight with Miranda theirs talks about a Bute vs Miranda fight with the Winner fighting the #1 contender Andrade.

Andradde is too easy to hit, He has an IRON chin but edison mirandas power will be way too much, No man on the planet can eat his shots, i mean miranda can be beaten, but not against a guy like katsidis lol, He hits TOO HARD

tbh this is a new wieght for miranda that he feels very comfitable at plus he has more power then ever because he hasnt got to drain himself at this wieght. But if miranda hasnt improved his boxing skills then i dont see him winning easy but i know mirandas power will bother this guy. The only reason it didnt bother pavlik was due to miranda being drained and lack of technique i swear miranda would punch like a fukin truck if he jus improved on his boxing skills and techique and i hope he does because it would be a waste of power. I just hope miranda doesnt start blowing up because he looked a lil to heavy against banks but if he does baloon on fight night wil he tire? who knows. War! miranda !

I think Miranda is all power, take it away he will be hard pressed to win fights against tough guys like Andrade.

Unless Miranda stops Andrade early, I think Andrade would stop Miranda late or take a decision.

I could see it going pretty much the same way Pantera's fight with Pavlik went. Andrade would weather the early storm and keep coming as we all expect him to. He would eventually wear Pantera down and stop him late. But I think Andrade is gonna be fighting for the IBF title first, unless you mean after that fight, which should be late summer.

I don't know, because Miranda hits like a heavyweight... but Pavlik took his shots clean, and I'd say Andrades got a better chin than Pavlik, so I don't know. I think if the Andrade that fought Stieglitz showed up, against the Miranda that fought Abraham showed up, we'd have ourself a FUCKING war. I don't know who I'd pick, I think Andrade by UD or SD.

Hard fight to call, Wheres the idk option. :boxing: The old Andrade definitely loses a decision against Miranda but the new Andrade looks quite impressive to me atleast.
