Kessler wants a belt, which Miranda doesn't have. I really wanted to see this fight but I can understand Kessler's logic. I'm not really a fan of Kessler either. Put yourself in his shoes. You just lost your titles to Calzaghe and obviously you want to be SMW champ again. If you had a choice between a title fight or fighting another contender which would be a tough fight, what would you pick? Very good point.

Miranda is ranked LOWER than Kessler - He has nothing to prove against a lower ranked fighter, Mogens Palle says he is ranked #1 challenger for WBC and WBO, so why not take the titles right away? He says he's ready, he's hungry and he promised his fans he'd be world champion again. And according to his promoter Mogens Palle, he'll be world champion by Summer. I believe it. Except Hattons been ducking witter for some time now, it wasn't just cause of Mayweather but I guess it's even more now because of Mayweather for the fact that Hatton realizes what its like to fight a real boxer. He is still young, he can easily take a fight with Miranda then go after the belt. You just make excuses for Kessler exactly, so he could just bag a belt and then fight Miranda where's the problem. Miranda could pick up his own belt during that period which could turn the fight into a unification.
