According to the PR newspaper Primera Hora, the rematch between Paul Williams and Carlos Quintana has not been signed due to monetary issues. Apparently, they are offering Quintana the same payday as the first fight, $250,000, and he believes he is entitled to more.
I have to agree with Quintana here. He might not be the draw, and he might not deserve parity, but Williams made $1.2M for the first fight. There is no reason Carlos shouldn't make at least $500 - 600K, at least.

Her name is Nana Nanaume. I don't have much info on her other than she is a Japanese model.
You sure that is the correct name?
Actually I misspelled it and it is Nana Nanaumi. Sometimes she is listed as Nana Nanami, but there is also an older JAV girl who uses that name. Some of these girls change their names as often as pro wrestlers do since they never use their real names anyways.
Quintana came in discounted and beat his ass fair and square. He's the champ and he deserves the bigger payday of the 2. If he can't get a bigger fight outside of this right now he might settle for somethin less than what he should though.

Quintana should fight a bigger fight forget Williams he doesnt deserve a rematch he lost big and only had the belt for 1 fight..too bad for him now Quintana needs to get a big fight & Williams needs to go to espn.
No doubt Quitana deserves more than what he got in the first fight...Who will Paul fight if Quintana doesn't gives him the rematch?
How about vs. Clottey for the vacant IBF title?
Quintana deserves the winner of Judah/Mosley imo.
Well the thing is that Williams has a guaranteed return match. Usually the terms of the rematch are worked out in the original contract. If Quintana's people were careless in overlooking that, they may have to live with the consequences.
Exactly. I don't know if the terms were worked out previously or if just a rematch clause was inserted, but if it's just the clause then I'm with Quintana when he asks for more (but I still don't think he should get the lion's share since he's not the draw). However, if he signed the first contract and it stipulated he'd make the same amount in a rematch, if he won, then it's on him to honor his contract and whoop Williams for the same amount.

I would tell Williams 64-40 my way or no rematch. Simple as that.
Yeah Williams has no room to bargain what so ever. Especially when it was an 8-4 fight at worst.
It should be split 70-30 for the champion, Quintana deserves the bigger purse.
I agree, and the absolute WORST he should get is 50/50. It's not like Williams has Oscar De La Hoya type box office magic.
good for quintana, if he dont get the extra money he should walk, theres plenty of fights there for him, although if he swallows his pride, beats williams again (and he would, i reckon) then the WW division is his oyster. Tough call for him and his management
