People on here think that because he has suffered 3 KO losses this month that Enzo Calzaghe's stable isn't as good as we thought. Well in my opinion there are only 2 World level fighters in the gym (Joe and Maccarinelli) with the others all being fringe contenders or British champions. I don't know why the expectations are so high tbh..
The stable has been a huge success and Enzo has turned fighters like Gavin Rees into a world fucking champion! He has got Gary Lockett a fight with Pavlik ffs and untill recently he was undefeated as a trainer. What do you expect of this guy? Enzo has made all these champions himself! he hasn't been given them to look after their fitness like other trainers (Emmanuel Stewart etc) he has actually turned them into champions himself.
How do you know i dislike Calzaghe, he's one of the best fighters of my era, but Frank Warren milked his career and Joe has to wait 44 fights into his career to finally get the fights HE wants, and not hand picked fights by uncle Frank. Why do you think Hatton jumped ship? He knows the score.
The fact that you could only pick out four of his fights says it all.
"Says it all"? What does it say, exactly?
Yeah, I picked only four because it's RARE for Calzaghe to be under pressure! He is light years ahead of pretty much everyone he's fought. That's why I could name only 4 off the top of my head. I think my point is valid -- that Calzaghe puts in his best performances when he's under pressure.
I agree on the FW thing. He should have broke away from Frank but obviously it's far too late for that now. Besides, Joe has a great amount of respect for Frank Warren. Always has.
Hmmmm...
Shall I bite and get into an argument with some guy who obviously dislikes Calzaghe?
No. I don't think I will.

Eubank was only a shell of his former self by the time Calzaghe fought him.
Mitchell???? give over.
Kessler and Lacy was his best performances.

No. I don't think I will. Especially with someone who has "Lifestyle... Flashy" under his username.
Lacy, Kessler, Eubank, Mitchell.

I think he has a shot at Steve Cunningham...
wake up and realize you just made me loose 20 braincells by that stupid comment! NO NO NO NO WAYYYY IN HELL WOULD ENZO BE ABLE TO BEAT S.CUNNINGHAM!
Joe is the only Elite fighter in that stable.
Macca NEVER beat ANYONE prior to his LOSS to Haye.
Unless you count an INACTIVE Braithwaite win as an elite win.
PLEASE wake up.
And don't take offence to the TRUTH.
nothin but the truth sir!
I always said macca and rees would lose hoefully joe c will restore some pride.

The expectation is high because Enzo was voted trainer of the year, I would guess. To me, it's irrelevant because Joe is the only "important" fighter in the Calzaghe stable anyway. I like Macca, but like everyone else in the Calz stable, they don't possess the kind of talent that Joe has.
i dont think Enzo is particularly good at improving fighters technically he just whips them into tremendous shape to get the extra few % out of them IMO
