We all know that he is the best boxer that ever appeared in featherweight division, but does he have anything to prove by going up? People say that he is a very fast puncher, but I believe that there are many fighters in the lightweight division that CAN punch as fast as him.
All my friends say that he will dominate all divisions he goes to, but they don't know much about boxing. He will be in the ring with people, who can punch as fast as him and even stronger.
Will Pacman be another De La Hoya or will he just killed in the lightweight division?
After fighting David Diaz, According to Arum there is a possibility he would face Campbell at the end of the year.. After he knocks Campbell out and become the undisputed lightweight in the world, he should RETIRE FROM BOXING!
I don't see Pac fighting Nate. If Casa beats Katsidis and Pac beats Diaz. Then i see Casa-Pac fight. Then a trilogy with JMM.
i agree with your statement about morales' prime, but pac isnt the best filippino boxer?
pancho villa? elorde? my filipino neighbor says they were smarter than pac, but i cant agree since i never seen either one fight.
other boxers from the philippines arent well liked. in fact i died of laughter at that one filippino guy for getting a huge bump on his head
Even though they werent very well liked is a statement about the state of the nation they hail from at the time they were fighting...not of skill level. In the similar manner that in mexico Even though Barrera and Morales had an incredibly larger following...JMM may very have well been better than both of them. The only reason Pac is as big as he is...is because the Philippines is a 3rd world country going through a civil war and Pac was a rags to riches story that so many people in the Philippines can identify with...the same way Americans can identify with the 2pac or Jayz rags to riches stories. Elorde not only has the more dominant exploits at superfeatherweight in the ring...but has also done more for the sport of boxing and his country outside the ring than Pac.
Prime Morales gets baited into trading shots and get's ko'ed by prime Pac everytime. Morales won the 1st fight because of his years of experience as a ring veteran. Experience he did not have in his prime where he was busy being wanting to beat the living shit out of every opponent because his pride would not allow him to win any other way. Powerwise still was still never as strong as a prime Pac tho. However greatest featherweight of all time is a huge stretch. He's not even greatest filipino boxer of all time.

I'm not going to waste my time reading your old threads that are just your senseless, useless opinion. REAL boxing fans no prime Morales is better than prime Pac.

Your reasons have already been posted a million times here.
And cleared 2 million more.
That's why your a newbie.
Coz you dont know.
I come post my opninion, and now I have to listen to an immature bum whining. It is people like you who ruin forum boards. I'm a newbie because I don't know some senseless airhead's opinion? Can you think straight at all?
I don't expect you to.
Just don't come in here posting like an idiot with your excuses which have already been discussed and cleared in the past.
Use some brains.
I'm posting like an idiot? Im giving reasons, and youre whining about them. Grow up and use some commen sense. Rethink who is the one who needs to "use some brains"
Feather and super feather.
If you're too term conscious then I beg your forgiveness and plead guilty.
OMG, that's even worse. Now you are proclaiming Pacquiao as the best fighter of a range of divisions? Best at 126 and 130? :ugh1:
You might have an argument if you say that Pacquiao is the best at 130, but knowledgable boxing fans do actually differentiate between divisions, so, if you want to join the club of boxing fans and not just nuthuggers of one fighters, you might want to start by learning what all the different divisions are.
Unvalidates excuses.
I've already discussed your excuse a few dozen times before.
Since you're probably new here go educate yourself with old threads.
I'm not going to waste my time reading your old threads that are just your senseless, useless opinion. REAL boxing fans no prime Morales is better than prime Pac.
JMM, Mab and Morales.
3 elites at his resume.
That's my argument.
Now we can have your excuses?
Morales... all at 130.
Marquez... a draw at 126.
Barrera... one win at 126.
A draw with Marquez and a win against Barrera makes a fighter the best of all-time? Keep hugging ******.
Dude, Morales got KOed at junior lightweight. Who did Pac fight at featherweight to claim King? Barrera? A draw with Marquez?
He only had 3 or 4 fights at feather.......... :ugh:
One win over Barrera doesn't do it, you are right.
Joart, as usual, is too busy hutting nuts to figure it out though.
Isn't it great how much plain and basic common sense we just used Chups?
The best feather got KO'd by Pac.
Logic?
You want logic? Erik Morales was old, drained, and far out of his prime when he was knocked out by Pac. Pac would be the one getting knockedf out if Morales was in his prime.
The complete idiot running like a moron once again.
Didn't you say MAb and JMM beats Pac and now you're running your mouth like a moron by making excuses?
Dude get some balls with you.
So it's literally impossible to think that an older version of a fighter can win a fight? Yes, I thought the older versions of Barrera and Marquez would win. Amazing that you pointed that out. Now, do you have anything to say that would actually help you in this argument?
Why not.
Give me a fighter than tops his resume?
Salvador Sanchez?
From what I know he died young so the could have, would have doesn't matter.
Give me a feather guy who has a resume comparable to wins over JMM, MAB and Morales.
I'm scratching my head coz I can't think of none.

lol, i hate the fact that he is a womanizer.
Given the same situation and opportunity, wouldn't you be?
Besides, you'd probably be more astonished if he had something intimate with a homo sapien with balls.
I think David Diaz is a very managable fight for manny. But i think Hatton at light welterweight is an absolutly stupid ass idea. Hatton would be too strong for Manny imo, an Ricky would get no credit for that win-like Hopkins V Wright. But LW he will do OK. But Pac is not the best featherweight of all time lol
Salvador Sanchez is the greatest featherweight.
What makes Sanchez the greatest featherweight of all time? He looked great against Danny Lopez (who with talent didn't?) and a smaller Bazooka Gomez, but he was no Will O' The Wisp.
Pep went 143 fights with only one loss, fought all comers, and even came back from a plane crash to continue as champion. It's unfortunate that because of how time has dimmed memories, Pep is largely forgotten.
Sanchez was great and would've been greater had he not died so young.
It reminds me a lot of what Hopkins did. He fought older big names from smaller divisions. I think Pacquiao gets a pass though, because he started lower than all of his big name opponents, he just gets some criticism because they were old.
The amount of credit he gets is irrelevant to predicting how he will do at 135, you are correct about that.
I think Hopkins gets a pass too, because he was way older than all of his big name opponents! Even more of a pass, because he cleaned up all of 160 while waiting for the big names to fight him.
I really dont mind that Pac fought the “old mexican featherweights”: all those fight made sense, no matter the weight. I mind when I read people saying he “dominated the best at 130“... It's always like this, I think I love almost every fighter, but I am pretty much disgusted by a large number of fans.
very true, but I think that even the shot/old/a bit past it versions of morales, barrera, marquez are still very good, but they are not 130 fighters. I mean 130 definitely had some bigger people as their top names a while ago: Mayweather, Corrales, Hernandez (Chicanito, not Famoso), Casamayor, Freitas.

They weren't exactly young either.
