Here is how I scored the fight, as neutral as possible. This was actually an easy fight to score.

4. 10 9
5. 9 10
6. 9 10
7. 10 9

10. 10 9
11. 10 9
12. 9 10
Pacquiao - 115
Marquez - 112
Notes: Pacquiao pushed the fight the whole time. Marquez did not throw enough jabs. Pacquiao's defense is greatily improved. Marquez is still a good counter puncher, just did not do enough. The decision is just and warrented.
*Compubox punch output favors Marquez, in which he landed around 15 more overall punches. This is attributed to Round 8, in which Marquez outlanded Pacquiao, 21-5 punches. More punches overall doesn't win fights. Fights are won by Rounds and Pacquiao won more. :boxing:
Let me clarify and elaborate. When I say Marquez played pussy, I am referring to him staying back, moving back, not letting go of his hands, not jabbing for shit, not putting any pressure on Manny. He would wait and wait, trying to lure Pacquiao into a counter. Pacquiao showed mad heart by applying steady pressure the WHOLE fight. That's how you fight.
Yes, I understand the beauty of being technical and counter punching, it's just not exciting for me and doesn't do enough to win the fight. Where is the offensive minded Marquez we've been hyped and promised? It was nowhere to be found lastnight. He could have won the fight, by jabbing more and going on the offensive more. He has himself to blame. I just watched the post fight conference and dude showed no class by walking off like that and saying that shit.
well, you are not a true boxing fan than. you are missing out on about 70% of the entertainment in the sport if you don't enjoy the boxing side of boxing. pacman has improved the boxing side of his game but he is still very much a brawler and #1 rule is that you box a brawler and that is what marquez did. its just that pacman might've out brawled marquez's boxing. but next time marquez might out box pacman's brawling. that is the beauty of the game.

SO you're saying ROund 1 is definately JMM's?. If you think so then you're as BIAS as those you're accusing.
I don't know how you score round 1 for JMM when Pacquiao doubled him in power connects.
I know you didn't. I just threw my analysis' into there because that's what Marquez did all night - counter punch. He got 1 or 2 good shots in the first Round. All night he was hesitant. What happened to him being more offensive minded like boxing analysts were saying and expecting? He played pussy and tried to counter all night.
I was with you in this thread until you wrote that. Marquez faught a great tactical fight. the only way a person of his physical demensions could've fought a person like pacquaio. I think marquez is far from a pussy considering how he kept his composure after the KD and especially in the first fight. a real pussy would've let those KD's get to him and probably would've gotten ko'd.
anyone who scores rounds 1 and 11 to pac is far from nuetral. as a matter of fact it shows blatant bias and this is why.
pac stans score round 1 to pac because according to them, "he landed more shots" but everyone agrees marquez landed the more effective punches. but when the punch stat numbers come out, according to pac stans, even though Marquez landed more shots, Pac won because he landed the more effective punches.
which one is it then?
round 11 could've gone either way but round 1 is pacquaio's. I haven't seen the punch stats yet nor do I care to cuz those are rarely ever accurate but it just seems pacquaio landed more shots in that round. and as I've posted this before many times, the 2 fighters are very evenly matched so no matter what the decision would've been wheather pacmans, jmm's or draw, its all good IMO.
haha i didnt say he won the fight. please quote where i stated that.

Exactly. It's easy to see that Pacquiao landed more and won the first round. This is the general consensus, it's that clear. The punch numbers for Round 1 is Proof.
Marquez can not win the fight by landing a few counter punches. He did not do enough! It's fucking simple.

Round 1 was Pacquiao's. JMM landed one good right hand and did nothing for the rest of the round, Pacquiao was at least hitting him with body shots. Round 11 was very close and could've gone either way, I gave it Pacquiao but have no problem with anyone giving to JMM.
Thank You.
Honestly, I think the score of 115-112 for Pacquiao is the right score.

Blatant bias? Nope.
I scored Round 1 for Pacquiao because he did land more punches. So what if Marquez landed 1 or 2 good shots? He got hit a lot more. It's that easy.
Round 11, yes - is arguable. It was very close, but I have to give it to Pacquiao. He did enough to win the round, just enough to edge out Marquez.
Even if I was to be generous and give the Round to Marquez - then Pacquiao would have still won - by score of 114-113, which is final decision that won it for Pacquiao.
There is no blatant bias in my score. I try and score it as fair as possible.
I can see why the judges scored the way they did. They made the right decision. Pacquiao won the fight, it was close but he did enough to win and deserves the spoils of victory without being called a robbery.
