Anyone See Larry Merchant turn his Back on Pac-Man

ferocity is right though majority of other sites expert writers favored marquez on this one......i for one dont like either of these two cats but i had marquez winning by 2 rds but with the kd know that it would be real close....i was suprised pac got the nod since it is marquez that was the champ.....anyways great performance by both and hope to see both of them get knock da fawk out next time out........

yes brutha, i feel for the mexicans especially for the marquez camp who lost the best opportunity for greatness and more $$$. but the better man won the fight...pac is now a world champ once again. filipinos back in the islands must be having a blast right now. Its all good, i've respect Pacquiao a bit more even though i thought he lost, Marquez and Pacquiao were impressive. As in the past when two fighters put on a show like this, there is no loser, but sucks for the fighter that should have won.

Im going to assume some if not most of you that have posted so fare are recent boxing fans maybe months or just don't want to say it, so i will. Truth.com........if you ever notice when a close fight is happening and if Merchant felt the other guy won, he'll cut off the winner and allow the loser who he felt really won, talk as long as he wants. Lederman gave it to Pac along with 2 other judges... the poll on boxing scene suggest more people believe pacquiao won. It just the people who can't handle the loss that are posting right now but everyone except JMM fans seem happy with the decision.

Nah the fighters are being rude when they try to steal the airtime. Merchant has no choice but to cut them off, he works for the network and is representing the producers of the telecast. They have every right to control the content and not allow fighters to go on useless rants ("shoutouts") and other childish nonsense wrong this time...pacman has never done any of those...i think at that point he wanted to thank everybody who supported him including the p.i. nation. i think it was rude :werd: of larry but could've just been the airtime limit as one poster here pointed out.

In all honesty, I think it might of been due to runtime. I think it was about to be 1:00am or something, and I believe they have to fit everything in a certain amount of time and since the fight went the full 12 rds, they had to rush up everything. They have to say their closing statements with Larry, Jim, and Emmanuel, so I guess they had to speed up the post fight interviews. It was ashame though how he did that. ...Bingo!!! It was odd considering Merchant is in love with Pacquioa. I know right? I remember him saying that he was above Mayweather in the P4P list because he was a true fighter or something like that.. It was pretty wierd.
