Mitchell shows moments of class that Katsidis doesn't have, while Katsidis has more power in his punches. I know what you're saying though this fight was a bit Katsidis Vs Earl-esque. I rate them both. Both Mitchell and Khan are better fighters than Katsidis I think. Khan would most likely beat Katsidis right now, and without a shadow of a doubt in a year or so. If Mitchell stepped up, that would be a war and a half, but Mitchell would prevail because he's a better fighter.

I'd recommend anyone who hasn't yet seen this fight to watch it. It is one of the better fights in a British ring in recent years. My God Mitchell has a hell of a chin but gets hit more than Arturo Gatti did, which is a major worry. He reminds me a bit of Katsidis. This is the sort of fight Warren needs to put Kevin mitchell in, The guy has skills he just doesnt get to showcase it against quality opposition. I hope he gets to step it up abit after this now. The problem for Mitchell is that HE IS with Frank Warren, so big fights for him wont come thick n fast, Warren will bubble wrap him for a while yet which is a shame.

Kevin Mitchell beats Alex Arthur any day of the week. Joan Guzman would give him a boxing lesson though. Maybe he could pick on the current IBF champion Mzonke Fana. Can't see him getting a shot at Edwin Valero, or the Pacquiao/Marquez II winner. That'd be great. I don't really want to see Guzman blitz Arthur. This would be another big fight England vs Scotland, etc etc. Career high paydays for both I'd imagine.

That was a War. Mitchell is going to be top level imo. God knows what he was doing in rounds 4,5,6 made it good though. But he proved he has heart, chin, and power, and calzaghe-esque stamina. Lots of pluses. Even his defence was good in the first three rounds. He'll get better. Carl is a great domestic level fighter, very entertaining and dangerous.

Good fight 'mon. Mitchell needs to bulk up and give Khan a good 'ald beating.
