Not at the moment, but in the past certainly there have been some guys. Muhammad Ali for example, or Evander Holyfield, Mike Tyson, Rocky Marciano...
Thats why I said for the most part and also add INCREASINGLY so since I believe this is more of the case with the SUPER HEAVYWEIGHTS. The last highly skilled HW's IMO were Chris Byrd and James Toney. They won fights dispite being smaller and having no power. They used skill to compete against those more physicaly suited for the HW division.
I bet the only Haye fight 90% of people on this forum have seen is the Macca fight, and now eryone pretends as if they know WTF they are talking about.
For the most part and IMHO increasingly so......heavyweights are the least skilled of the divisions and are highly dependent on pure talent (power, chin) than any other division.
Just look at the footwork and coordination of any top heavyweight and anyone can see its not even close to that of other top fighters in the lower divisions. Shit they make Margarito and Mayorga look like Fred Astaire.
I just can't see myself putting any HW on the p4p list.

I think it's fair to say that he is one of the 20 best boxers in the world right now regardless of weight.
Klitschko
Haye
Dawson
Hopkins
Calzaghe
Kessler
Wright
Pavlik
Mayweather
Cotto
Hatton
Witter
Guzman
JM Marquez
Pacquiao
Linares
Vazquez
R Marquez
Mijares
Calderon
These guys look like the 20 best boxers in the world right now to me. I have trouble saying that Campbell is heads and shoulders the best guy in his division, despite the great performance last night, so I didn't include him (or any other lightweight).
Haye has straight up destroyed pretty much everyone he has been in the ring with and he has grown considerably since facing Thompson. I'd like to see him fight Steve Cunningham and O'Neil Bell, but I understand he'll be after the Heavyweights now. Cunningham is a pretty skilled, physically gifted fighter. Both he and Bell are tough fucks too...they'll fight anywhere.
You can be p4p and a heavyweight. But you have to be a particularly good heavyweight, and one who doesn't always rely on being bigger than their opponent. Which is why Wlad isn't.

Does anyone realize that the p4p title and list was invented and is meant for all NON-Heavy Weight fighters.

The whole premise was for SRR who was not as large as the heavy weights.
like to see him him start off with hvwt eddie chambers first. or one of those slow plodding eurotypes.
lol he did after all knock out a slow plodding eurotype when he fought at heavyweight though.

haye got a huge case if handled right got a great chance could beat all current heavy's with the exception of wlad. but with the right nuture would knock out wlad.
Haye would have a shot to hurt Wlad. But I definitely don't see him beating him until Wlad is past his prime, or other. I mean right now, lol he'd have trouble with the jab and right hand Haye would.

Is see you still pretty upset about the Wlad thing oh well, Wlad is rated in the top 10 or isnt he? I think Haye deserve to be in the Top 20 at least..You cannot be the linear champion at your weight and dont even get in the top 20that would be plain idiotic.
I am not upset.. that post was directed at one person only... I agree with your opinion that a Unified champ these days deserves a top 20 ranking on those merits alone.. However as soon as Haye vacates and Goes to HW he drops out of the top 20.. and didn't he say he is OFF to The HW's???
See they'll rate Haye for unifying and KOing people.. But Not Wlad..
Wlad is facing an uphill struggle to be recognised, partly because there is no linear champion (and unifying one belt doesn't make you the man), partly because it's harder to be recognised pound for pound if you're a heavyweight anyway, especially if you're a big heavyweight like Wladimir (you're usually beating up on much smaller men, how can you be p4p?) and also partly because the heavyweight division has something of a dearth of talent at the moment. Being the man at heavy Isn't worth much. It means that you are better than Samuel Peter and Ruslan Chagaev.
On the other hand if Haye was to move up in weight and dominate bigger men in the heavies then he would certainly be recognised p4p. You would also open the gates for Klitschko to gain recognition by fighting someone with power, with skill and with decent amateur legs underneath him. Also who isn't proper old.

one of top 20 p4p boxers? I say yes.
Yes.
Top 10 imo..
Debatable. Definitely not out of the question.
Oh and btw did you happen to catch David Haye smoking Enzo Maccaraneli?

He's unified all the belts. If he moves up in weight and proves he can do it at heavy then sure, why not? Are you saying his recent achievements are eclipsed by those of, say, Winky?
