Diaz started well, but Campbell executed his plan and did the work to break Diaz's spirit. He connected with the sharper shots too.
Diaz proved to have great heart and chin but allowed the cut to bother him and distract him too much. Also looked gassed as the fight went on.
Not sure if I would go so far as to say he was exposed but I always thought that Diaz left his chin too available and if he faced a tough strong willed opponent he would get beat.
i wont consider pernell whitaker a flawed fighter, but under your statement you just called him one
I would. I dont think being a flawed fighter and a good fighter are mutually exclusive.
Obviously he did not get exposed. What did Cambell do so great that he exposed Diaz? Nothing, Diaz kept fighting even though there clearly was something wrong with him. Could be the eye or there could have been stamina issues this time around.
We don't know how hard he has been training doing all those extracurricular activities outside of boxing. It may have worked before but it eventually catches up to you and you get used to your ways and start slippin' in training camp.
No, Juan was not exposed. He was just going at 50mph while Nate was going at 80mph.
yes..going at 50mph and punching the air...the air around the ring is all cuts and bruises...
Any fighter who doesnt even have a chance to get a late knockout due to a lack of power is a flawed fighter.

I don't think he was exposed, mainly because that eye affected him pretty good. Im not saying Diaz would have won if it wasn't for that cut, but it was a factor. I wouldn't say exposed, but a blueprint was made. Now let's see if the upcoming Diaz opponents are skillfull enough like Campbell to apply that blueprint.
Yeah, when that cut started flowin', it took the fight right out of Diaz (though one wonders how much of a factor Campbell's early, continued, and effective body punching was).
Someone found a way to deal with Juan's bullrushing. For any other opponent who can't fight him on the inside, Juan will still pose bigger problems. If it was Casamayor in there, he could have been ko'd
Most journalists thought Campbell was a very live dog in this fight, and if Diaz had lost before a lot would have picked Campbell to win imo.
This was just a case of, "I havent seen this guy lose yet, so I cant really pick against him until he does." That's what I thought at least.
You have to acknowledge that tonight Campbell was just the better man.
i agree but i dont think Campbell is neccesarily a better fighter, u know what im saying?
he got knocked out badly and he was probably in controll of the fight up untill then ,chinny dispute it all u like deep down u know im right
He was losing the fight big fella. And he ate right hands the whole fight.
