So Pavlik recently gave his endorsement to Hillary Clinton for the upcoming Ohio nominations...
My question is, who you got? Obama or Clinton?
..Im all for Obama.
You should have known when you made the poll that anyone who says anything about Obama will be jumped on. I said something about how he was completely unaccomplished and unpreparred to be president, and I recieved angry messages calling me an racist asshole redneck. Obama is nothing more then a good speaker, who gets people interested in buzz words more then ideas. ...
:owned: :owned: :owned: His speeches are an army of words looking for an idea.
He says "hope" and "change" and offers neither. He is empty, but people are so afraid to even say anything about him because you are a racist if you do. Bill Clinton goes from being called by some as "The first black president" to being booed when he speaks by black students at universities. Classy. Clinton cant say anything because Sharpton and the rest of the morons come out and attack him/her as a racist, all the while Obama gets wonderful media coverage and a free pass. Take MSNBC as an example.
Enjoy some of what Chris Matthews of MSNBC has to say about Obama…
“I’ve been following politics since I was about 5,” said Mr. Matthews. “I’ve never seen anything like this. This is bigger than Kennedy. comes along, and he seems to have the answers. This is the New Testament. This is surprising.”
“I really think there’s a Salieri-Mozart thing going on here,” said Mr. Matthews. “Salieri was the court composer who did everything right. He was impressive. Along comes Mozart. And everybody couldn’t get the music out of their heads. Hillary is really good at doing what she is supposed to do. She’s impressive. He’s inspirational. That’s the difference. One’s the court composer. And one is the genius. There’s something he does. I don’t know what. Oprah said it. It’s not that he’s black. It’s that he’s brilliant.”
On today’s “Morning Joe” on MSNBC, Joe Scarborough, Mika Brzezinski, and Willie Geist hosted Chris Matthews. As they discussed, and individually gushed over, Barack Obama’s concession speech last night, Joe said, “If anybody in America has heard a better speech in modern American political history, please email me.”
A visibly moved, sentimental Chris Matthews then chimed in with his account of an Obama speech he attended days before: “It was the best speech I’ve ever heard. … And I’m tearing up, and I’m writing down notes, and I’m trying to keep track of this thing. … His heart must’ve been broken last night.” It appears Chris’ was as well.
Now the same MSNBC on Hillary Clinton
Matthews: Well, I don’t know if they read the NY Post. I think the Hillary appeal has always been somewhat about her mix of toughness and sympathy for her. Let’s not forget, and I’ll be brutal, the reason she’s a US Senator, the reason she’s a candidate for President, the reason she may be a front runner, is that her husband messed around.
That’s how she got to be a Senator from New York. We keep forgetting it. She didn’t win it on her merit, she won because everybody felt, “My God, this woman stood up under humiliation, right? That’s what happened! That’s how it happened.

MSNBC’s David Shuster also said that Chelsea Clinton is “being pimped out” by her mother. He sais he was sorry and was suspended.
I can go on all day with more then just Matthews and Shuster, and I could do it on any network. This should trouble ALL OF US. Most Americans dont watch the debates, so they base who they will vote for mostly on what they are told by the media. This is especially true in a race where the two candidates have very few differences of substance on issues. When you get home from work and hear “Hillary is broke and has to watch out for her husband!!! Is Bill a racist?” and at the same time “Obama is the black JFK!” and “Even Republicans like Obama!” it makes a huge impact. When the media makes the choice for who will be the next President, we all lose. Google the Saturday Night Live sketch on the debates...it sums it all up very well. "Would Obama like another pillow?"
Now any of you open minded enough to read this far deserve to know why Obama is not qualified to be President.
Obama is only known because he is a great speaker. He spoke at the 2004 Democratic National Convention, and people said "Wow, he is a good looking young man who is a great speaker." Pretty much that is his claim to fame. He was in the Illinois Senate, and then elected to the US Senate in 2005. In the period between 2005 and his run for the White House, Obama has done very little to show himself qualified in any way to lead the most powerful country in the world. He failed to vote on alot of important liberal issues like abortion, and most of those cant be said to be "tactical" democratic votes. Let's look at a few things he has done or said over the past few years. There is alot to speak of before the Senate that is bad for him, but lets focus on the recent.
Iraq- Barack wasnt in the US Senate when they had the vote to authorize the use of force against Iraq (although the average Obama supporter thinks that he managed to vote against the war), and as much as he rips on the war and Hillary voting to authorize force, he has openly admitted that given the information they had "I dont know how I would have voted."
Recently, Barack has also said that if Iraq were to destabalize more once he pulled the troops out, he would consider redeploying troops back to Iraq.
Obama also said that we are "Just Air-Raiding Villages and Killing Civilians" because we dont have enough troops in Iraq.
Iran- Obama wants to meet with the President of Iran, who is sponsering the killing of our troops in Iraq, and wants to do so with no conditions. Same thing with North Korea, even though sanctions on North Korea have been working.
Pakistan- He wants to take our troops out of Iraq and deploy them into Pakistan (so much for end the war huh? When the dems say end the war, its just redeployment). With or without the permission of Pakistan. President Musharraf (who is strongly against this) would be led to the slaughter by the people in Pakistan if this were to happen, as well as open up a new front of the war on terror, only this time, against our friend Pakistan.
Obama also has met with KNOWN TERRORISTS William Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, who were with him when he was sworn in to the Illinois Senate. Think of President Bush meeting with the Unibomber...http://stoptheaclu.com/archives/2008/02 ... t-friends/
Now lets look at the people he has surrounded himself with.
Obama's wifes own words.
http://dyn.politico.com/printstory.cfm? ... B3C0F4E64B
Michelle Obama when attending Princeton, wrote a thesis talking about how black people must join together to "rise against the white oppressors." And other wonderful jems.
“For the first time in my adult life, I am proud of my country,” -Michelle Obama
Obama's church. Here is what can be over heard at the church Obama has been attending since the 1980's. (The title of Obama’s bestseller “The Audacity of Hope” also comes from one of Wright’s sermons. Wright is one of the first people Obama thanked after his election to the Senate in 2004.)
"The disavowal of the pursuit of “middle-classness” and a pledge of allegiance to “all black leadership who espouse and embrace the Black Value System.” It defines “middle-classness” as a way for American society to “snare” blacks rather than “killing them off directly” or “placing them in concentration camps,” just as the country structures “an economic environment that induces captive youth to fill the jails and prisons.”
"In sermons and interviews, Dr. Wright has equated Zionism with racism and Israel with South Africa under its previous policy of apartheid. On the Sunday after 9/11, Wright said the attacks were a consequence of violent American policies. Four years later, Wright suggested that the attacks were retribution for America's racism."
“White America and the western world came to realize that people of color had not gone away, faded into the woodwork or just ‘disappeared’ as the Great White West kept on its merry way of ignoring black concerns.”
And lastly, look at the polls of Dem's when asked what Obama has accomplished in his life. Watch the videos on sites like http://hotair.com/archives/2008/02/20/v ... ally-done/ when people who support Obama are asked to name anything he has ever done. They cant. Which begs thge question, if he hasnt accomplished anything, what is your reason for supporting him? I know some people just want to see history and that is what is driving them, but I would rather see the right women or black president instead of just the first one we can get.
I can go on all day with things Obama has done or said to show he is not in any way prepared to run the most powerful country in the world. There is plenty more to pick from. Obama was ranked the most liberal member of the Senate by the National Journal. He cant do anything in a nationwide election once he is actually forced to discuss issues and not just say "hope" every other word. All those republicans who are said to like Obama will run to the hills when they see his voting record. He is lucky enough to be running against a women who is very disliked and has done very little herself.
I will leave you with Obama's own words...like I said I can go all day with why he isnt qualified, doesnt have the knowledge, the experience...nothing but a good speaker...
Obama: I'd Be A Bad "Chief Operating Officer" As President...
"The propaganda they teach in schools that the Constitution is outdated is based on a childish old=bad frame of mind."
Wouldn't be something if we were working on teaching our kids to think!
"Did you know that HMO's were invented by the Government? Did you know that this war was based on lies fabricated by the government? DID YOU KNOW that the dollar is collapsing because the Federal Reserve, a private bank in total control of our economy, continutes to print money out of thin air to be used by the government to pay for welfare/warfare programs?"
Yeah I know that the Gov did these things. and I think that the money is being printed for more than the welfare program/warfare programs - they need to pay the corrupt special interest cronies too. :)
I think that things are REAL bad - that is why I think we need a real leader. I really do think the Constitution is the ultimate law of the land - we have grown into such a complex society that implementing the constitution has become unwieldy.
Haha yes, wouldnt want to leave them out. Honestly, I can't seem to see where the Constitution hurts the American people, although there are numerous circumstances where it hinders the personal agendas of politicians. For example, it used to require a constitutional amendment to ban alcohol/substances at the federal level. Now they just do it on a whim and spend/waste billions per year on the "war on drugs". Instead of thinking about going to war and declaring it as a people through congress, the president just does it. We havent really won a war since this policy has been in place. Just a few examples. The propaganda they teach in schools that the Constitution is outdated is based on a childish old=bad frame of mind.

"I personally believe that they have caused most of them to begin with."
I don't think that Gov cause ALL the problems no more than they can solve all of them. I think it is on us to do that. The Gov is a tool we should use - not be used by. Its not a perfect system, but it is all we got right now.

things are REAL bad. The best system we got is the one encoded into the constitution, not the hodge podge of special interests we have now.
"I guess the main difference between us then is that you trust the government to solve all these problems."
I guess you could look at it that way - but I really don't see the government as the answer to all. But we are in system - a broken one - but it is a system. We function as a community and that community is held together by many things and government is one. I do think we need to do our part - we need to be active. Our government needs to work for us.
Every society has a level of social inequality - that is just the way it is. When we have a society as complex as our is there will be a mechanism develop to regulate.
I really think that Obama see this to some degree - that is why his "Universal Healthcare" is optional for adults.
"I personally believe that they have caused most of them to begin with."

I can see why you do not like Obama. I think you have valid points - though I am not sure about lying and corrupt - but he is a politician and he is smooth. I just like his smoothness. I like most of his ideas.

I'll tell ya what would really kick ass. If someone designed some sort of General Discussion forum, where topics like this could be discussed.
GO OBAMA.....
"the reality is that he is misleading the left through his Iraq troop "withdrawal" plan, and disqualifies himself from any true conservative support with his "Global Poverty" bill AKA UN global tax initiative, along with his liberal record. The guy is another corrupt, lying empty suit and is a complete media fabrication."
BmoreBrawler-
He is a liberal democrat -there is no doubt. I just happen to think his ideas on "green collar jobs," the collage work program, affordable heath care, expanding early childhood education programs such as early head start are good. I think it would be great to start moving our manufacturing jobs back to this country - stop giving money to companies who move jobs out of the country.
I also understand why these ideas do not appeal to everyone. I would be expensive and it would increase domestic spending. I understand why this would not appeal to many people. There is an appeal to pulling yourself up by your own bootstrap and having no taxes that is appealing. I just look at life different. I think we are here to help each other and work together, not just for ourselves - but for the greater good.
I also think by motivating business to keep jobs in this country, stop with giving the 250K a year earners tax breaks, and developing new industries (green industries that could put many farms back in business) we could shore up our economy. Plus get rid of these crazy no bid contracts that the government does not keep track of.
I can see why you do not like Obama. I think you have valid points - though I am not sure about lying and corrupt - but he is a politician and he is smooth. I just like his smoothness. I like most of his ideas.
Obama for 08!
Obama has done nothing but be a good looking guy who can speak very well and say change one hundred times per day. I just have a bad feeling he'll fuck up the military. He'll probably get elected. CHANGE.
Disappointing coming from Kelly.
He should stick to boxing.
Obama has made a huge comeback after Hillary was the overwhelming choice only a few months ago.
It doesn't happen by accident. The more people have studied the candidates it's become obvious who the right choice is.
I would conceed he is a neo-con and not a true consecrative, I guess I just see him as the right wing of the Republican party - taking all the worst ideas and running with them. I think that his ideas are way out of "moderate" though. This has been an administration based on corruption and cronies. I think he did more to destroy the constitution than just spit on it though. They have tried to wipe there ass with it and throw it out. I do like some of things Ron Paul says - especially about Iraq and the reasons we are there and the reasons we need to get out - and I do see him as a true conservative, I just do not see him as a leader.
I see Obama as a leader. A leader who motivates and brings people together. I see that as really important. He has the ability to bring up the standing of America in the world again. People around the world respect him. When he was giving speeches just on policy - people said What happened to that guy who got everyone fired up at the Democratic National Convention? I can see people disagreeing with some of his policies - I happen to agree with a lot of them. I just am glad he is not going down gutter road and making fun of "Republicans" in general. That he is actively perusing all peoples vote.
It just has to change. We could unite behind him.
There is no question Obama would be good at being a leader IE manipulating the masses to do his bidding. His hype machine has done a good job of painting him as a moderate trying to unify the right and left. However, the reality is that he is misleading the left through his Iraq troop "withdrawal" plan, and disqualifies himself from any true conservative support with his "Global Poverty" bill AKA UN global tax initiative, along with his liberal record. The guy is another corrupt, lying empty suit and is a complete media fabrication.

"bush is hardly right wing..."
If this administration is not right wing - who would be right wing for you?
Someone who says:
No pre-emptive wars following UN resolutions, like Harry Truman, Lyndon Johnson, and Bill Clinton advocated.
No doubling the size and scope of the department of education.
Not having the biggest budget increase of NON MILITARY spending in history.
Not spitting on the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
Not tacking on a big government DHS bureaucracy on top of another to fix the intelligence community.
Bush is a neo-con, whose leaders come from the ranks of the democratic party. I would consider him a moderate, taking the worst from all ideologies.
