Wlads holding tactics

In the Peter fight Wlad lunged in to hold and clamp himself on, he hooked his arm around Peters on the inside and the other around his kneck and leaned on, the referee was very complacent in letting that go before warning him in about round 10. I lost count after 95 holds, Clinching is not illegal but stepping into a clinch is. If you have enough room to step forward to clinch you then have enough room to punch. Clinching is legal only when you are unable to punch. If you watch a number of Rocky Marciano's fights you won't see a lot of clinching. Marciano had a few tricks to deal with opponents who like to play huggybear, like headbutts, shoulderbutts, eye gouging, forearms, elbows, nutpunches and anything else he could improvise. Klitschko plays huggybear simply because the bums standing in front of him never learned how to fight.

My record is somewhat better.. and I picked those 2 guys... maybe you want to reconsider..??? I don't know, I thought the stoppage was premature in the second fight and was closer to getting stopped on cuts the other way. Plus Marquez has had more time to adjust to the higher weight. Maskaev is 39 and hasn't fought in 15 months, he doesn't have the world's greatest chin to begin with and I'm not sure the inactivity will help his stamina.

Because Wlad won every single round except the rounds he was knocked down in, and if i remember right at least one of those knockdowns were slips, it was actually similar to McCline vs Peter. Except Peter was in much more trouble, and plus Wladimir won much more convincing in fact i know it may sound funny because Wlad was decked 3 times, but i thought he dominated Peter. 2 of the knockdowns were from rabbit punches. And Wlad did dominate him and managed to hurt Peter badly in the 12th.

Like I said picking a winner in a fight does not make a person Knowledgeable. Hopkins clinches and punches back of the head, Hopkins is a dirty fighter, Wlad holds cause he's scared, big difference. No Goony.. whatever wins you the fight is OK... regardless of WHO is doing it.. Both guys get results.. By saying one is justified and not the other.. is simple hating.. UMM and yes sir ..picking a winner means you know Boxing.. It means you dont buy the hype.. and you pick based on WHO will win because you understand the style and fighter match up..
