Can/Will Floyd one day take the Middleweight throne?!

Floyd is smaller than the top welterweights, he'll be way too small for middleweight. Heck, he even had issues with de la Hoya's size and de la Hoya was way too small for middleweight.

As far as I recall he Hearns won the vacant WBC title, lost it in his next defense to Barkley and then Duran beat Barkley. He beat Iran Barkley for the WBC title and beat Davey Moore for the WBA Light Middleweight title and started his career @ lightweight.

im sure he'll wait for the weakest champion to arrive then challenge just as Roy did, after floyd loses then i think he'll take bigger risk

i was under the influence beating clottey is a reputable win? He didn't BEAT Clottey.. Clottey was disqualified.. therefor is it a real win? IMO NO.

Baldomir can still proudly say he has better wins and accomplishments than Margarito, a fighter all of you hype while talking crap about Baldomir, who wasn't just some WBO title holder but a linear welterweight champion. Yes Floyd can win a meaningless title against a crap title holder just like Roy did. But as a Boxing fan do you actually want that to happen? This is my thought. He could but the opponent would have to be made for him.

De La Hoya is a fat welterweight @ middleweight.. real Middleweights such as Jermain Taylor, Kelly Pavlik, etc. are too big for Floyd and I highly doubt he would be ablet to.. He is no Roberto Duran and doesn't have that animal inside him to win a legit middleweight title.

I know about 65% of this forum is fed up with Floyd not fighting the real threats and everything... so its gonna make a lot of you seem like... if he wont fight Cotto, why would he ever risk for the MW championship.. You all have a point... I for one think he WILL eventually fight cotto... with that said... Ive ALWAYS thought that if Floyd really wanted to, he could box his way to a middleweight championship victory... at the RIGHT time.. not necessarily against Pavlik... but maybe down the line... im talkin possibly 4 - 5 years from now... when the right guy has the belt... I see him doing it, He has the boxing ability to, to outbox someone even at 160... obviously he would NEVER have the power to do any harm, and if he DID get caught it would be problems... But I still see him having the ability to outbox for the MW Title...... SOMEDAY... Ala Roy vs Ruiz he could win an ABC title at middleweight but i dont know if he could win THEE championship at middleweight.
