Really he has no idea. He's has a tremendous physique and athletic ability he's been trained to do things but he has no idea at all about just fighting, just going at it, none at all, strange for a guy that might be considered the best heavyweight in the world. No clue how to fight. None at all
WBo champ means nothing, the lineage of the title Wlad won goes back as far as.... Wlad losing to Brewster in a eliminater for the vacant title stripped from Sanders who beat Wlad. Sanders lost to Vitali and Vitali`s titles passed to Rahman then Maskaev, if the Maskaev Peter winner fights Vitali then that lineage will be cemented and the winner will hold the true WBO lineage back to Herbie Hide as well as teh WBC lineage from Lewis, Vitali retired as Ring CHAMP and in some eyes Lineal, Vitali was THE man, the WBC situation ha sall the cards to give us the true champ. Wlad may be more well known, more fancied but the lineage of both of his belts comes from nowhere. Did anybody consider Byrd champion when he held a vacated IBF strap while Lewis was THE man? Byrd lost it to Golota before he lost it to Wlad anyway!
The WBC belt was vacated TWICE this decade. It means LESS than the other three belts at this point. The lineage does not go back to Lewis. Lewis did not lose his belt. Vitali won it against Sanders and then also never lost it. Rahman was GIVEN the belt, could not even beat Toney, all in an effort to trick the public into thinking there were still Americans at the top of the division. But Rahman lost to Oleg Maskaev of all people. Oleg defended once against a Nigerian no one had ever seen.
the more doubt that surrounds wlad the better, it just keeps allowing me to make more money everytime he wins.
wlad was bet down from -600 to -300 against sultan on my sportsbook which defied all logic. i made double what i should have.
wlad was only a -600 favorite over ray austin, certified bum. shoulda been -1500... but people thought "ray austin is as big as wlad, all wlad has is size"
thats called stupid. i bet everything i had to bet.
wlad was a -350 favorite over byrd, who never could have hurt him. made good money on that one too.
wlad opened as a +325 underdog against Sam Peter.... i made a killing.
No hes not a great champ, no hes not the undisputed champ, no his performance against Iggy wasnt impressive
but nobody out there right now is going to beat him either, what does that make him? i dont know.. but get used to him winning.. and if youre one of the people who bet against him thinking he is soft and/or vulnerable... i thank you for financing my vacations.
save the asthma bs. my gf has very bad asthma yet runs 5 miles a day with no problems. briggs just doesnt have good stamina. sultan is an olympic silver medalist that was competitive with felix savon. he was a worthy wbo champ. end of story

This is what happens when you hype a fight as Unification as if its a big fight when in reality Sultan was at best a top 10 contender who nobody thought was any good anyway. He got his belt from a fat Briggs who was so asthmatic that he threw nothing in that fight and just shuffled around. Yet HBO would have you believe this was some big deal and even michael Buffer starts announcing from the ring "Undisputed championship of the world" just to confuse the uninformed into thinking that this was that Undisputed fight or something of any importance when in reality gaining the WBO belt brings Wlad no closer to Undisputed. Does a unification with the WBF or WBU bring him one step closer lol, its all hype and this is a moment of realism after the event.

You never seen wlad display any natural fighting ability? Makes me wonder if you've ever seen wlad fight before. And sucks that he doesnt know how to fight but yet he's almost impossible to beat, has two championship belts and is on track to unify all four heavy weight championship belts. Pretty good for someone that doesnt know how to fight. And if he doesn't know how to fight and his opponents do and yet he still wins then what does that say about being able fight?? answer overrated! fighting is fighting boxing is boxing!
ok hes 2 time world champion holds 2 of the 4 belts, olympic gold medalist, massive amateur record, has a career record of 50-3 with 44kos and he doesnt know how to fight? come on where do u people come wit this crap. He just faught a guy who was undefeated with a great amateur record and totally shut the fight out and he doenst know how to fight?
That girl in the picture doesnt know how to play tennis, Sharapova is the best and Obama is horrible, Huckabee for president
Is that why he won the Olympic Gold Medal? Is that why he has 50 wins and 44 KOs as a pro? Is that's why he has three world heavyweight titles: IBO, WBO, and IBF?
Only a fool would start a thread stating Wladimir does not know how to fight.
To clarrify I dont at all deny his accomplishments or the amount of skill Wlad posseses as a boxer or his athletic abilities like his punching power, size, strength it's just his instincts are bad or something, he doesn't have a killer instinct to use a cliche. He's too technical and cerebral from my point of view. And it's strange because pretty much any bum off the street can strap on a pair of boxing gloves or hockey skates and go just ferociously attacking with great ferocity but with little or no skill at least in my neighborhood but for a guy with all his ability he just doesn't display this basic ability in the ring and people associate with guys who can fight with that in the ring but also have skill.
maybe but he has still never been THE world champion, only another alphabet beltholder.
hes the one trying to be the world champion and holds 2 outta of the 4 belts

how the hell did he try??
he didn't even bother putting more than 1 punch together when he had so many opportunities!
and he still manged to dominate the fight. that takes one hell of a left hand
yeah man the dude tried, sultan just ran a lot. U saw whats happened to Byrd and Brock

I guess with his natural advantage of most of his opponents doing what he did last night is possible against anyone he fights. The better the opponent the more cautious he will fight. I'm not sure what was going through his head but, destroying an opponent who was there for the taking, wasn't wasn't on his mind. As often as he landed flush with that jab, he could have followed it with a sharp right hand almost ever time. His performance was really disappointing, but he dominated the fight none the less.
lol yeah he's a Coward.
That's why he rose from the canvas 3 times to out point Peter. That's why when knocked down against others he keeps getting back up to his feet.
No kidding, Wlad has gotten up from the canvas all 11 times he's been knocked down in his career. He has never been counted out off his feet. He fights a little cautiously sometimes because his chin isn't the greatest. But I love how people completely judge a guy off of one fight, especially against someone with such an extensive and successful amatuer background as Ibragimov.

I have to re-watch this fight (not really) because I seem to recall seeing Ibragimov stand still in perfect range for Klitschko for the majority of the 12 rounds. Because he is an unmitigated coward with no real fighting instinct, however, Klitschko decided to play it safe round after miserable fucking round and win by decision. I have never seen Wlad display any natural fighting ability. He simply beats these no-hopers who stand in his range like amateurs and let themselves get tee'd off on.

he's been trained how to do things in boxing but he doesn't know how to fight. He just doesn't have it.
why dont you get in there and show him how to fight then.
