Quintana seems to have less power and relies more on boxing.
He seems to be the least threatening Welter with a belt right now, so maybe a good match for Hatton?
I dont think Hatton should fight at 147 anymore but I figure he may try to get a Floyd rematch, and will therefore most likely need to prove himself at welter again..
This is a tough one to call. Hatton isnt at his best at 147. Collazo gave him a very tough fight. I think Quintana takes it, barely. Quintana doesnt have great stamina, and Hatton will probably win most of the last rounds. The question in my mind is if Quintana will be able to win enough early rounds to win the decision.
Quintana outboxes Hatton and wins by UD or possibly even late TKO...We all saw what Collazo did to Hatton...Quintana is a slick southpaw like Collazo with more power...Hatton is a top dog at 140, but he is too small for 147...Hatton needs to stay the hell away from 147 or he will get embarrased again.
son language aint got nuthin to do wit it. mad props to him for speaking both. y u frontin hater. he is given missions by top rank to destroy opponents. i was doin a robot impression cause a how he acts and what he says not how he says it. his new quote he said it again that he fite who they want him to fite.
Cotto can speak just fine, the guy isn't naturally bilingual. I'd rather he stayed "robotic" than have the attitude and style of that fool you idolize.
Quintana is okay but let's not overrate him on the basis of a win over a vastly overrated fighter who is about as much a welterweight as I am an astronaut.
agree but at the same time u can't say he's sorry because the guy just won his belt.
mostley cause of how he acts and speaks. my mission ...is 2 destroy.... and i do.... what i must... do ...2... win....
Great, make fun of the guy because English is his second language. How many languages do you speak?

BRITS AND FLOYD FANS TRYING TO HYPE FLOYD'S WIN OVER THE BUM VOTED FOR HATTON?????SHOCKING!!!!!!!!!!!
if roboto cotto .
Do you really think Cotto is robotic? lol.
I consider him one of the most languid professionals stylistically. There's never any herky jerky movements, and he stays perfectly on balance with full momentum when he throws combos or lead punches.
It can't be.....because he's 1 D. He's definitely not, and has boxing skills.
So..........is he just robotic compared to Floyd Mayweather Jr or what?

I think Quintana would carve Hatton up.
He'd tag him when he comes close, just like Collazo did.
Except 1 thing: Quintana is on a higher level and much better fighter than Collazo. Aside from being a southpaw.........he's more of a problem because he's a better puncher.
We tend to agree
Possible Hatton might get a gift decision like the one against Collazo, but I doubt it. Quintana by UD, or he might even stop him late. I'd probably have to see how good Hatton looks in his next fight to decide fully though. Personally I think his lifestyle, his drinking, his blowing up between fights, and the amount of damage he takes with his style of fighting, that he is on the decline and doesn't have many effective years left.

This a tough call. The pressure Hatton put on Floyd the first 6 rounds was unbelievable. He gave him no room. I can't honestly say many others could have been as composed as Mayweather. His mauling style is very hard to overcome if you don't have good inside skills.
Quintanna did well with Williams because he was able to get space and counter Williams. Hatton doesn't give that kind of room. And Quintanna was visibly tired after 7 rounds with Williams. It's just that he did some timely clinching and sucked it up and finished the fight off.
When Hatton puts on the type of pressure he likes it's very hard to get in a rhythm. You basically have to exclusively become a counter puncher which is Quintanna's game.
I see this going identically as the Collazo bout where a flash knockdown was the difference.
