in a boxing match Ruiz would win. in MMA Kimbo would win. I doubt Kimbo can land those shots againts a 1/2 decent pro boxer.

If Kimbo were able to beat John Ruiz, he wouldve picked up boxing rather than MMA. MMA is a sport you dont need much training to get to the top, just ask college wrestlers who start MMA after they graduate and become champs. Im sure John Ruiz has faced harder punchers than Kimbo so thats not really a problem

1 year boxing traing to beat a former world heavyweight champ? I seriously doubt it. Kimbo would not have a chance to hit Ruiz, jab and grab my friends jab and grab. Thats why he is not knocking him out. Fight will end with a Kimbo KO of Ruiz or Ruiz winning by points.

I would hope a seasoned, well schooled heavyweight what bash around kimbo. Though Kimbo is certainly more than just a tough guy.

Ruiz gets close enough to KO him, he gets KO'd before Kimbo. I would bet Kimbo would be in better shape than Ruiz. Very true, but I don't think Ruiz would be dumb enough to get too close but you never know. I don't think Kimbo (with his huge size) is cut out to fight a 10 round fight with Ruiz, no matter how good of shape he gets in. Ruiz would definitely be the superior boxer. IMO I still see Ruiz getting knocked out easily in the first couple of rounds.
