Joe Calzaghe has achieved far more than Manny Pacquiao who doesn't even hold a belt at Super Featherweight! Calzaghe has cleaned out the SMW division setting all kind of records in doing so while Pacquiao is lucky his division is so talented yet a lot of people still think Guzman and Marquez would beat him. Most of the people on this board agree that no one can touch Calzaghe from 160-175 while Pacquiao would be lucky to clean up just the one and wouldn't dare fight Juan Diaz @ 135.
The only reason Calzaghe isn't above Pacquiao in the mythical P4P list is because he hasn't fought old shot fighters like Pacquiao...
Calzaghe should be number 2 on every P4P list. No argument.
I've got an argument...
2003 Marco Antonio Barrera is way better than any individual fighter on Calzaghe's resume.
I think Calzaghe is number two at the moment. Pacquiao may have fought better fighters overall in his career but based on their most recent fights Calzaghe is clearly operating at a higher level.
Spot on analysis... Pacquiao does have a beter resume as far as names go, but if you look at their most recent performances, it's very hard to argue that anyone has been as impressive as Calzaghe. I, personally, think that Calzaghe's performance against Kessler put him at #2, as it was an amazing showcase. However, I wouldn't argue with anyone that has Pacquiao second. If Manny were to annihilate Marquez, and Calzaghe were to look lackluster against B-Hop, #2 on my list would probably flip-flop again. I see Marquez as a more dangerous fight for Pacquiao than Hopkins for Calzaghe, but neither one is guaranteed victory.

Well there are two ways of looking at P4P lists people. You can make resume lists, or you can make talent comparison lists. You can remove resume and just rank people on the faulty dream of who you think would win fights if their weights magically equalized overnight if you want. You don't have to do it by who has beat better boxers.
For kicks, and it is absolutely fine to disagree with this; it doesn't matter. But, again, for kicks... Here is my top 10 P4P.
1 Floyd Mayweather Jr
2 Joe Calzaghe
3 Juan Manuel Marquez
4 Manny Pacquiao
5 Kelly Pavlik
6 Bernard Hopkins
7 Wladimir Klitschko
8 Miguel Cotto
9 Israel Vazquez
10 Cristian Mijares
Why do you care how other people's P4P lists look? It sounds like he's number two on yours. Every single persons P4P list is different. There is no one list with any particular meaning.
