i was rooting for taylor. i wanted taylor to win so bad and i thought he was going to pull it off. he was boxing. he was being patient. it seemed like he was choosing his shots and conserving his energy for the later rounds except, he never went the extra mile. there was no robbery here. Pavlik pressued and landed more shots. Taylor may have made the most noise, but Pavlik kept working. Stop fucking crying and move on.
I thought Jermaine did an excellent job tonight. Pavlik couldn't muster that many ofensive onslaights as he did in the previous fight. Aside from a few bombs early on Pavlik didn't land that cleanly. The only thing that landed with consistency was his jab. I thought the scores were horrible as usual though. I thought Jermaine won. Not clearly but I thought he counter punched well and was accurate and economical. The punch rate is a little overrated by the judges I think. Trust me there is no favoritism here. I rooted for Pavlik to knock Jermaine out in the first fight.
Even though he lost he still fought very well in my opinion. He fought with great heart and really showed discipline this fight.
taylor never once took the lead the whole night, you say he fought well?? why?? cause he stood up until the final bell, thats why. give me a break, if taylor wanted it bad enough it was there for him and he was content to throw 35 punches a round.... you do realize that wladamir klitschko.. all 245 pounds of him throws more jabs per round than taylor does total punches?
No, I don't judge fights by compustats. I think both the judges and the people that were controlling the compubox was on Bob Arum's payroll.
Lets hope there will be no Pavlik Taylor 3 :No more controvery.
It's not compustats, it's menstats, compubox is controlled by 2 knuckheads like yourself.
Keep posting those stats cause it make you and all the other Pavlik butt-munchers happy.
Yet if the stats showed Taylor landed more then they would be valid and trustworthy
.....
;)
I wanna liken this fight to Jones-Tarver 3, except Roy just didnt want to fight
I think Taylor thought he was doing Enough during those flurries so thats all he felt he needed to do...but he wasnt busy enough. If he threw 20 more puches a round, and they could have been jabs, i would have given him the fight...but he wasnt active for most of the fight
Yeah it reminded me of Jones vs tarver 3 too
I was thinking is Taylor just happy to go the distance? Why isnt he throwing more shots? I think he felt like he did what he had to do and didnt want to risk more.

Tt was just another robbery, so on paper he won the fight but anyone that are not blind new Taylor clearly won the fight.

Pavlik: 267/845 32%
Taylor: 178/456 39%
Total Jabs:
Pavlik: 144/484 30%
Taylor: 102/292 35%
Total Power Punches:

Whose eyes looked like they were almost swollen shut after the fight?
Nuff said.

Outworked by punching Air? Pavlik was clearly outboxed in this fight and Pavlik was more scared then Taylor in this fight, he was covering his face every second.
well then i guess punching air wins fights cause guess what, Pavlik won the fight

i agree that pavlik respected taylor more this fight than the previous, but the fact is, he did more than Taylor. anyone that is not a flaming homosexual saw that.
This is what Pavlik did in 12 rounds, punching air and cover his face.
Yea OK he won the fight. :lol1:
you're "laughing" yet the majority of people know pavlik won. he got outworked. end of story.
What does it matter how many punches you miss with, if you are landing significantly more power punches and jabs?
It raises a question about effectiveness.
The flip side of that is you are also missing double the punches.

people think that if you land 1 or 2 showy flurries a round, while ur opponent is throwing and landing double the punches just with one punch at a time, that you win.
some people just dont know what they are looking at is all.
i completely agree
