It was a meaningless fight so I dont know how much I care but:
Pavlik looked very slow
Taylor kept tagging him with his speed
Taylor didnt make his same old mistakes of backing into corners and taking jabs
Pavliks corner felt like they lost
I know people will justify this by saying Taylor robbed Hopkins but the reality is he won those points. I had Pavlik winning 4 rounds at most (the 1st, 9th, and the last 2)
I didn't see the punch stats but that doesn't surprise me at all. Taylor blocked or dodged several of Pavlik's punches but the volume of punches gave the illusion of superiority.
if u know how to score a fight on ring generalship and effective aggressivness the conclusion of who won is far easeir to come by IMO Cause Taylor was the superior technician and Pavlik did 'nt use effective aggressivness
that is not a dig at u BTW :fing02:
I'm the whitest person on this forum and I know pavlik lost. Though Taylor could have fought a better fight. Even espn had pavlik losing
He won 4 rounds i think. Last 2, first and maybe 9th. And that's giving him a bonus. Some people say the last was level.
I guess when it comes to clean punching it doesn't count, if your missing most of the time.
Don't you have to hit people to win? Cause if that's the case.... Lets all miss!!
Exactly. Taylor was not landing at a rate even remotely close to Pav. And, was too conservative thowing also. Pav was much much busier and wasn't sloppy doing it, so he outscored the guy round after round. That's simple to underatand, but seems to be missed by a lot of folks.

That's what I don't get. I guess they should change the scoring method. Cause this shit is ridiculous. I guess its bad to be conservative.
Negative.
He threw more and landed the same as Taylor did. Taylor threw less, but the connect percentage was equal to Pavliks missed attempts.

im white & i thought Taylor won & even bet against Taylor & won points on it
nobody is telling me Taylor did'nt at the very least win 6 rounds in that fight
I didn't see Taylor getting 6 Rounds. He was the man tonight if you consider power shots, but nothing more. But, Pavlik remained way too busy for Taylor to match him in points over 12 rounds. It's not like Pav was tagging Taylor with every shot, but he was landing enough to outscore Taylor in most rounds.
Last time Pavlik KOd Taylor into lala land and people still said he got robbed haha
What was really funny is the people that said the fight shouldn't have been stopped (I guess they wanted Jermain to get killed.) To call this a robbery is a joke, by the way.
Dude, Pav threw much more and landed more. His jab was better than Taylor's. Sure, Taylor had the edge in power shots, but he landed far less than Pav. It's a game of hit more and get hit less. Pavlik won by being busier and landing more. It's not like Pavlik was being overpowered either. Pavlik kept throwing hard stuff over 12 rnds. Give Taylor credit, but he needed to both throw more and land more to win against a busy, conditioned guy with a very good jab.

wasnt a robbery
Dude please never watch a boxing match again seriously. you are banned.
please explain to me where you saw that pavlik's corner thought they lost the fight?
did you see palvik's face compared to jermaine taylor face at the end of the fight?
give up boxing please you are beyond an idiot
Maybe I shouldn't watch enitre replays of fights that I know go the distance. Instead, I'll just watch the final round .... so I can see the condition of their faces.
Fucking idiot.

Robbery...you idiots. Pavlik was way more consistent and was way more active. You could tell that body shot really hurt Jermaine towards the end he even said so. He was also starting to get pushed against the ropes. Kelly was consistent while Jermaine would get in a few nice shots and try to steal em at the end. Props to both of them they each fought a good fight.
HAHA, typical response from a black guy
Pavlik clearly won the fight buddy.....HAHAHA:banana:

people's facial conditions don't determine who won the fight. Have you seen Michael Katsidis Vs. Czar Amonsot yet? You need to give up boxing just based on that pointless and ignorant comment.
you are right my friend, taylor looked like he trained to sustain 12 rds against pavlik but not to take him down, he wasn't busy enough and pavlik was coming, 115-113 pavlik

I too had it 116-113 Pavlik. While Jermain was sharper, he didn't control the fight and LET Pavlik outwork him and hustle the victory away. Pavlik just plained fought for 3min a round, while Taylor fought for 30sec a round. It wasn't even close to a robbery, it was just plain a close fight. And Pavlik outhustled Taylor to victory.
Can't say it better.
It was definitely a close fight but I think Kelly did enough to ESCAPE with the win. I would've loved to see a SD or a draw as it would lead up to a potentially big third fight. As it stands, I wouldn't be surprised to see Kelly and JT wind up fighting for a SMW title. Respect to both guys!
P.S.
Dwight Howard really is Superman.
