Winky Wright vs Kelly Pavlik @ 160

I think Winky would pull off the upset, even though he would be a heavy underdog IMO.

If Wright is going to stand in front of him and he will because that's he he fights, being there flatfooted he's going to the piss knocked out of him good. I hope this fight happens Winky Wright is overrated. I know that word gets throw around all the time but he really is.

I'm saying that Pavlik is in his prime right now right? Well, he barely edged out a win against a "less-than-stellar" middleweight. And I'm a tell you something that fight JT fight can go either way any night. So, he barely beats Taylor and is barely the champ ina a time when the Middleweights are not that good. In a time when Hopkins was coming up, aint no way in hell Pavlik would of been at the top. He would've lost to Glen Johnson, James Toney, Trinidad, Antwun Echols, William Joppy, and definitely Roy Jones. How does a win by knock out somehow turn into "barely edged out a win". I mean, let's be serious.... If Pavlik doesn't stick his chin out at JT in the 2nd round, then this conversation never happens. The only reason Pavlik went down in that fight, was because he got cocky. Not because of JTs skills.

The point I'm making is that Pavlik has proved doubters wrong at every opportunity possible, and people like you still find a way to simply shrug him off like he's nothing. Let's say he fights Winky, and he proves you wrong and beats him. Who is going to take Pavliks belt at 160? Abraham? No. Sturm? No. Anyone who Taylor fought, like Spinks or Ouma? No way. John Duddy? No. Name me someone, besides an aging Winky Wright (whom I do not think can beat Pavlik, not at this stage of the game. Pavlik is young, and his punches would eventually penetrates winky's defense. So you're saying that Taylor isn't that good because he barely beat a guy in Hopkins who hadn't been beaten in a decade, and he beat him TWICE, whether it was close or not. and you then rag on his other opponents, which include a draw with Winky, whom you just said could beat Pavlik, even though he couldn't beat Taylor, who is overrated, yet you also now talk like Taylor is gonna beat pavlik on the 16th. Theres so many holes in your argument I don't know where to begin. Dude that pyramid theory don't work. You can't say A beat b and B beat c so A is the best out. (i.e Leonard, Duran, Hearns)

Then fought smaller unnatural middleweights(i.e Cory Spinks, Kassim Ouma) So, Kelly gets two wins of notoriety and now he's great? We'll see on Saturday.

Winky, I can see pavlik trying all night and getting frustrated. Thank you. Winky would frustrate Pavlik because he couldn't land any of those power punches. I've seen Kelly Pavlik fight two times and both times he fought an opponent that was easily hit. (Edison Miranda and Jermain Taylor) but Winky is relatively hard to hit and he would eventually out box Pavlik. Because as much as yall might like him, Kelly aint great...

if winky was a bit younger i think he'd steal it but to be perfectly honest i think hes past it and pavlik would punish him. not a dead certainty like by any means

I know what happens to turtles when great whites hit em? They break? That's what's going to happen to Winky's guard if this fight gets made. I'd actually pay to see it. Turtles cant fight back but winky can.;)
