Williams v. Quintana: My Thoughts about the Williams bashing.

it can't be coincidence addi i mean 3 former challenger 3 of them were undefeated cotto beat then and now they are world champions is not a miracle if u ask me. Ok, but let's be realistic. All three of those guys may have lost their last fight! SERIOUSLY. There's nothing very definitive about this little factoid you guys pulled out.

I don't see people giving Quintana any credit at all. It's all "Paul Exposed" posts and threads. Keep it real. Quintana has earn respect and boosted Cotto credentials. Another Cotto victim became a tittle holder. IMO, if there is a rematch, PW wins. The question will be... Can Quintana have another perfect night???

A lot of bullshit has been said about Williams' recent loss against Quintana. Now I am not a Williams fan and for the most part felt a lot of what was said about him was just hype BUT because of this loss it does not mean he was exposed or is as horrible as many of you make him out to seem. People are saying because Quintana was outclassed by Cotto and Williams was outclassed by Quintana that that puts him at the very bottom of the food chain. Let's not forget that triangular correlation does not work! Less we forget that Mosley lost to Forrest and Forrest lost to Mayorga. Does this mean that because Mayorga whooped Forrest that he would be able to kick De La Hoya's ass.. After all, Mosley did beat De La Hoya once or twice, it's up for debate. No, Mayorga got man handled and is a prime example that triangular correlation does not work. I must admit that after this fight Cotto gained another credibility boost with me but I say we wait until Williams next big name fight and the results of it until we pass judgment. Williams is still fresh. Quintana is still fresh too and he could turn out to be a good or decent name in the division, only time will tell. It's not a horrible loss.. It's just a loss. Personally the best example would be Foreman, Ali, and Frazier. I agree though people put WAYY too much emphasis on a loss.

You know what's funny? I originally picked Quintana to beat Miguel Cotto back in the day. Some of the Ricans on the site can tell you 'bout it since I bet with them against Cotto and after got rediculed for it. So after that I had kind of lost belief in him because of the way he lost and though I like the guy was certain he was gonna lose. Williams didn't really lose credibility with me though he was knocked of that high cloud people were putting him on, It was more of Quintana regaining my respect more then anything. I hope no one starts to hype him up like Williams after Margarito though as I can already see it happening but I think he deserves some props and love after what happened last night.
