power and good body work can make up for alot. He might now be the best defensive fighter but he's not a defensive fighter, he's a come forward power puncher type of fighter. He's still young he's freaking 21 i think he will come along just fine. He kind of reminds me of antonio margarito.

chavez jr problem is his attitude imo. i dont feel passion or a killer instinct on the ring, and he is too passive and need to throw more. also his defense needs work too, but without a change of attitude working on his defense would mean nothing anyway :P. he has very good power,has the tools imo to be a champ but has a long way to go still. also, he should use the jab...with his reach he should use it a lot more.

good fight, thanks Jr. starts way too late in a fight. At least i think he's a late starter or he needs to start earlier and yeah his defense still sucks. Thing is he doesn't feel the punchs so he doesn't think nothing of them. When he faces a guy who can really punch Jr. will be in a dog fight. I didn't see the omar chavez fight but im still saying Omar will be a better fighter then Jr.

Talk about having 0 defense,Chavez Jr made Arturo Gatti look like Pernell Whitaker,he had no defense at all,his head was blocking all the shots,i had Celaya ahead by 3 or 4 points before he stopped the fight,so did the announce team,he won every round after the 2nd which he got knocked down,he even won the 1st,Chavez Jr isnt ready for none of the elite,hes so lucky Celaya couldent hit for shit,he would have got KO'd with the amount of shots he was taking,some rounds he was getting schooled to death
